Reading between the lines you work in healthcare, can't even imagine what it would be like at the moment. The vast majority are with you. Cheers.

you talking about yourself ???

Like getting whacked 3 times with a franken juice that doesn't work ?

Then queing up for another round of shots from same manufacturer. ?

THAT kind of stupid ?? yep, you'll be getting jacked up with the omnicon boosters from April onwards.

49 deaths reported in NSW in the last 24 hours. Big number right.

However, only 1 person, yes 1 was under the age of 65 and had significant underlying health conditions.

Of the 49 people who died; two people were in their 60s, 10 people were in their 70s, 17 people were in their 80s, 19 people were in their 90s, and one person was aged 100 years old.

Tell me why you want to fill this juice and mandate it for young fit healthy people?

out of the 49 - 12 were not vaccinated. Even i agree if you're old and have health conditions you should at least try the devil juice, you have nothing to loose.

Is it possible they were already too sick to receive the jab? I think so.

In regard to your link:

"The latest Covid variant is 1.5 times more contagious than omicron and already circulating in almost half of U.S. states"

In my view the new variant of Omicron(BA.2) which if more contagious will become number one, is really only another positive, more contagious but same/similar sickness level, it just makes the odds of another more deadly more contagious variant coming about a tad less likely.

Fingers crossed Omicron variants get more contagious but stay less deadly.

We will have to wait to see but im betting those previously infected with Omicron will have some immunity to it too.

But still we might see a second wave from it, especially as it's going to hit as kids go back to school, so get ready for people to freak out again as numbers at least bump a little.

All above is my opinion and theory only though, it's just a forum remember.

From Dick (the man who said 100,000 Qld jobs would be created just before Xmas): "“About 10 per cent of the population is unvaccinated, but they make up a third of all deaths in Queensland [from COVID-19] in the last reporting period.

“I think that is another reminder that in Queensland, it’s never too late to vaccinate.”

Ok - so by that logic - if 100% of Qld get vaccinated then the vaccinated will make up three thirds of all the deaths......and this man is a treasurer...wtf.

Blowin, just because I don’t agree with vaccine mandates and passports doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate all the nurses and doctors who are doing the heavy lifting. The rebels without a clue was a reference to the armchair experts who peddle drivel about the inefficacy and danger of the vaccines, and who also denigrate the efforts of frontline workers. Firstly can I say with my hand on my heart a sincere thank you from myself, my family and the community. We all know you guys n gals are the superhero’s of the times and we can only imagine how insanely tough it must be

The complete lack of boosting of the health system in 20/21 is nothing short of outrageous. I hope at least there’s a big fat tax free government cheque coming your way at the end of all this. It will be well deserved.

Outside of this glaring lack of support, I would argue that our leaders have done the right thing to “let it rip” now we have found our vaccination peak, and thanks to the helping hand of omicron. You might find that hard to agree with right now and that’s understandable. Just know this. Many of us have been thrown under the bus with this pandemic, and I guess it’s because there is no easy or right fix. We are all making this up as we go. Coming from an aviation perspective, I can tell you I know people who have lost their jobs, their homes, their marriages and nearly their sanity. Different stages of the pandemic response will hit all sectors differently. For us, this is a great stage of the pandemic, after two years of hell there is now hope. I can tell you I came within about 4 weeks of having to sell my home, as my daughters bedroom is in that home, it’s a big deal. Labouring in the sun with 20 year olds and withdrawing tens of thousands of dollars from my supa are just two things I did to help flatten the curve for you guys, for us all. So I can appreciate you’re exhausted, but I just thought it might make it easier for you if you could see a different perspective and understood the current situation to be as a minimum, fair.

Peace and barrels for you brother, this won’t last forever. PS that daughter of mine begins her nursing degree in February

@ blowin and Indo, O.K. agreed he's not in the same league as Jim Banks but I've seen enough Joe Rogan podcasts to work out he's a far right opportunist getting paid 100 million bucks from Spotify to provide a platform for conspiracy nutters and covid misinformation. He lost me when he said Alex Jones was right about micro chips being injected into arms or that Joe Biden was funding experiments on beagle puppies putting their heads in cages full of sand flies.
I am sick of the whole woke left PC apologists too but this guy is a bit too extreme right for me, over 1000 doctors tried to have him shut down for his anti vax misinformation. Sure, far right on some things like his despisal of identity politics and far left on others like his call for drug reform and decriminalisation. Like most humans his politics appear to be a mash up. He does come across as consistantly anti-establishment though, which would be far left? Not unlike Neil Young (*back in the day anyway).

Wasn't it only 270 doctors? Even so, 1000 doctor's is only 0.1 of the registered phsycians in the United states. A significant percentage of those signatories weren't registered physicians either. That sounds strange, my neighbour was a Qantas steward who volunteered to do the last flight to South America in March 2020 where he got covid . Said he was sick for 10 days in hotel quarantine. He’s fit healthy 45 year old and said it wasn’t a very nice experience . Anyway he got tested around 3 or 4 months ago for antibodies and results showed he had very significant amount. He hasn’t bothered getting vaccinated now as doesn’t see the point . He feels though he’s been discriminated against. Mainly keeps to himself . Took voluntary redundancy from Qantas.

Covid has maxed out plenty of hospitals around the world, the early variants did huge amounts of damage and triaging occurred - which is really, really fucked up.

Yes Omicron is more mild, and there's higher vaccination rates globally so it's causing less of a dent, but it's no picnic.

Question is, did you plebs just recently take the view that Omicron is mild?...or have you been holding it for some time, talking it down, saying we're over reacting? I think the latter.

Which just shows dumb luck.

"a far right opportunist"

Really???

He see's himself as left leaning, many people that are left leaning have ideals similar to his like over identity politics or dont want to get the Covid Jab etc.

Funny how people label people based on one or two beliefs, even myself a proud conservative have lots of traditionally left leaning ideals, im not a fan of religion for instance, i do believe in a certain level of pubic funded health care, and im open to sensible drug reform, and think multicultural society can be a good thing if managed correctly, pro renewables too (although understand the need for other fuel sources during a transition period) just a few examples.

Oh and apparently weirdly enough being pro vax is now viewed as left leaning by some and im pro vax.

But i also hold lots of conservative beliefs social and economical, so see myself as a conservative.

BTW. I dont know what Alex Jones said about microchips being injected into humans, but it is a real thing, it's no secret, you can even get them for vaccine passports, off course it's not compulsory anywhere to have them but we really dont know what the future holds 20 to 50 years time.

And the beagle sand fly thing well i dont know if it's been totally busted https://www.factcheck.org/2021/11/answering-questions-about-beaglegate/

The funniest thing today is snowflake and village idiot trying to convince others they care about and offer respect to our healthcare workers.

When 95%+ of the healthcare workers they say they care about and respect, just want all to get vaccinated and have also stated with medical fact that vaccines are far safer than getting covid. Vaccines alleviates pressure on hospitals and healthcare staff.
