Gotta love a complex forecast chart.
Although poorly aligned, a pair of strong frontal progressions will move across the Tasman late in the week generating side band energy for northern NSW and southeast QLD.
The forecast for this week is still pretty complex even though there are no major weather systems expected to develop within our primary swell windows.
Over the coming days, the surf will gradually fade across all coasts.
We will see the surf build to around 4-5ft this weekend with Sunday offering the best conditions. It'll be pretty quiet throughout the initial stages of next week, but there are hopes for a strong increase in swell late in the week and into the weekend.
With no notable swells expected for the weekend, we can expect the Mid Coast to remain tiny to flat both days. As such, all attention should be focused down south.
Today’s building groundswell is expected to level out into Saturday morning before a small reinforcing pulse pushes through during the day, then eases slowly throughout Sunday.
There haven’t been any significant other swell generating systems during this time, so the size will diminish steadily throughout the coming days.
