By the weekend we’ll see a strong SE surge pushing north of K’gari (Fraser Is) with surf developing either later Sat or Sun.
We’ll see another front and trough develop tomorrow on the leading edge of the dominant high, which sees S swell short term then a strong S/SE-SE fetch develop through the lower Tasman from mid week. Plenty of swell from this source seeing fresh S’lies, easing later in the week.
The coming week will improve from Thursday with Sunday through early next week due to be tiny.
The first proper Southern Ocean frontal progression of the season will fire up south-west of us later week.
We’ll see another front and trough develop mid week on the leading edge of the dominant high, which sees a strong S/SE-SE fetch develop through the lower Tasman from mid week. Plenty of swell from this source with a strong ridge along the NSW seeing fresh S’lies, easing into the weekend.
We’ll see things ramp back up again Wed. A front enters the Tasman, decays into a trough and moves northwards along the coast in a pattern we’ve seen repeatedly this autumn.
The coming week isn't special at all with some strong new westerly swell due next week.
The coming days will be poor, with a good run of northerly winds due from the weekend but with fading surf. Better swell potential into the first week of May.
