Good on the CFMEU taking a stand. Absurd that it hasn't been outlawed yet.

Is there more detail about what exactly is considered engineered stone? If they ban terrazzo I'll have a meltdown.

Its the asbestos of the 2000's.

Unfortunately, NSW nurses are 10 years behind their Victorian colleagues;
"The union wants one nurse rostered on for every four patients on a shift and a one-to-three ratio in emergency departments."

Sam Bankman-Fried reportedly owns a $100 million stake in Elon Musk's Twitter https://www.businessinsider.com/sam-bankman-fried-100-million-stake-elon... https://www.semafor.com/article/11/22/2022/sam-bankman-fried-elon-and-a-... LIZ'S VIEW
Musk may have had a more finely tuned B.S.-meter than investors and regulators — and reporters — but he was happy to take Bankman-Fried’s money. At the time, he was canvassing everyone from private equity investor Orlando Bravo to Oracle founder Larry Ellison, seeking contributions to the $21 billion equity check he’d need to write for Twitter. (That number ultimately rose to $33.5 billion after Musks’ camp nixed a loan secured by his stake in Tesla.)
Corporate mergers were once hammered out in boardrooms and papered over by an army of bankers and lawyers. But with wealth now concentrated in the hands of an elite few, individuals can act like companies all on their own. Musk acquired Twitter through sheer force of personality — ambition, hubris, and a refusal to negotiate — and bent Wall Street to his will, to the regret of both.

I actually read all the messages that were posted in the semafor article. There wasn’t a lot of SBF , more of another bloke promoting him to musk . It was interesting reading through the messages and seeing how the Twitter purchase evolved and some of musks ideas and future of Twitter.
https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/23112929/elon-musk-text-exhibits-...All public holders of Twitter were allowed to roll their stock into Twitter as a private company, but he did not do so. Your reporting made it falsely sound like he did, when in fact he owns 0%.

For the last time, how much of you does SBF own? Stop dodging the question.

This is pretty funny.

It’s Now Clear That QE Was a Colossal Policy Mistake
"...Ending QE won’t be easy. Central banks now have enormous balance sheets that will take years to whittle down. And as we see in the UK, when a central bank stops buying bonds, it can throw markets into chaos. Now that QE has become the norm, the next time there is a recession markets will expect more QE, and if doesn’t happen that could cause more trouble in the debt market.
That’s why central banks need to admit QE was a mistake. Their credibility is already at stake after they underestimated inflation. Now is the time to take a hard look at monetary policy over the last decade and rethink what worked and what didn’t. Otherwise we’ll be stuck with QE forever."

In the last 2 weeks I’ve had these 3 lovely lasses follow me on my Twitter account. Haven’t bothered following back as they are obviously not real and probably tied to some sort of scam . I’ve never had anyone privately DM me before but it’s becoming daily now . From offering part time work to “ congratulations you have won a prize “. They get reported and deleted without opening the message . Sacking so many people may not have been the best move if musk is serious about cleaning up bots and spam .

Robot stalkers - and they are hot. What a time to be alive.

They'll be back.
Peddlers of opposing viewpoints buy stuff too.

Peddlers of opposing viewpoints also have a wide range of other media to spend their advertising dollars with too.

Sounds like Swellnet
Cloud capital’s first miracle is to get us to work for free to replenish and enhance its stock and productivity with every text, review, photo, or video that we create and upload using its interfaces. In this manner, cloud capital has turned hundreds of millions of us into cloud-serfs – unpaid producers, toiling the landlords’ digital estates and believing, like peasants believed under feudalism, that our labor (creating and sharing our photos and opinions) is part of our character.
Or should that be cloud-surfs.

haha... 'its'the model'
I cannot believe the time and effort that goes into those clearly fake fb vids where some half naked half hot chick teases the audience with her getting out of a speeding ticket or falling in a pool ...or, as I saw this morning, a boyfriend potentially eploding a coke bottle mentos bomb up her vagina, while she's 'unaware'... 15 mis of drawn out suspense and wiggling buttcheeks... and... nothing...
I cannot believe the time I put into that too

Wow, let's cancel history...
Visited this amazing collection of medical esoterica, sexual fetishism and general weirdness a few years ago. At no time was I under the impression that it perpetrated "a version of medical history that is based on racist, sexist and ableist theories and language”.
It was a collection made by a very wealthy man from his travels and represents an interesting view of medical history and the cultural practices surrounding it

"Holy flippity flipping flip flop flap smokes, everyone."
Yeah....that's about as far as I got into the video above of a "shocking story that exposes the whole crooked world of something or other".

Two great minds that are capable of discussing pretty much everything with anyone in a civil way, i think you could also add Russel Brand too the list too.

Ha, wow!

@stu
Yep - the whole flippity floppity stuff is a bit cringe - I was gonna give a heads up about trying to ignore the bearded potato head and consider the content ;)
A little like friendly jordies…
- Different context, same principle.
U know …
‘It doesn't take much to read between the lines: Who's being protected here and why?’
Carry on ;)

As a rule, and this applies across the political spectrum, FJ videos included, I veer away from the drama heavy rubbish posted frequently on YouTube by that fat potato and other New Woke folk like Russell Brand. Brand even says, without any irony, that his channel is for those people who are "awakening"
If people haven't yet realised it, they're using the same tactics to get views as MSM, and though they may not have the same corporate clout - and hence bias - they make up for it with a serious lack of context and research.
I agree with some of what Brand says, same as I agree with some of what JP says, and other commentators too, but the whole New Woke movement loses me with their radical histrionics. I struggle to bother with it. Posting vids like the above as some sort of 'gotcha' means jack.
Every other video "proves" a truth, or it has "damning evidence", or someone's a "fraud". It's become an endless cycle of shallow news without even the payoff of sport and Tim Bailey at the end.

"After being unable to reach Sachs on his home telephone, Brand and his co-host of the week, fellow Radio 2 DJ Jonathan Ross, left Sachs four voice messages on his answering machine. In the first message, Brand joked about Fawlty Towers and the fact that both he and Sachs had appeared in The Bill, but was interrupted by Ross shouting out "he fucked your granddaughter". The rest of the message and the following three messages were all characterised by Brand and Ross attempting to apologise for Ross' outburst, but each quickly descended into farce; for example, Brand sang to Sachs: "It was consensual and she wasn't menstrual", and Ross asked to marry him."
