Figures for increase of rental prices for ports and increases in electricity prices are not opinion.

As I've said before, you're either not for real or something's not right with you.

Ha ha okay, and this is coming from the guy that whinges non stop about the government but on the flip side wants everything owed and run by government, makes a whole lot of sense.

Look its obvious you have pretty out there socialist/marxist type views but no matter your opinion the discussion is pretty much pointless because the reality is most developed countries around the world have privatised where possible because it works and it's very rare for governments to go back to public ownership.

And voting Labor sure wont change this, they were the ones who started privatisation to begin with, with the sale of the Commonwealth bank and Qantas (both the correct decision)

I read this article but then I also read a related one which is even worse.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-05-12/how-politicians-use-drops-to-mana...

Talks about the cycle of ‘drops’ to newspapers which then publish these drops, quite often without any verification or validation. In continuation, political social media accounts share those same news reports while citing them as a source even though the main source were social media account holders themselves. Very dirty stuff.

It also explains why there is a wild gap between promises through rhetoric and promises on the paper, through actual policies. I reckon at least x 10 is said compared to what is actually officially planned to be implemented.

It is a sad state of affairs, agreed. I heard the journo behind the article you linked talking about it on the radio. He bemoaned the fact that there is little or no attempt to fact check the “drop” information. Both sides involved, poor and partisan journalism, and all we get is a stream of fluff and bullshit. Is it any wonder the trust index is so low?

Silly thing to say though Scomo, you should never apologise for being a strong leader, you should hold your head up high and go out as a bulldozer, Australia will regret voting in a weak soft dingo, cause its clearly not going to get the job done.

@info you really are a cretin. To steadfastly deny the undeniable in the face of the mountains of evidence that the Morrison govt is the worst and most corrupt in our history is beyond stupid. This its not me or my political views that are the problem its the rest of the world that is the problem points to gross stupidity, or cognitive deficiency, a personality disorder or an ongoing piss-take on your part, or just perhaps a combination of all four. I can just picture AndyM, guy, and supa etc screaming "FUUUUUUCKKK, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS BLOKE!" as they type their replies hahah and pulling their hair out as they read his next reply.

I think its the fact that Indo doesn't scream and shout and abuse people that people find frustrating about him, he always posts with the same monotonous tone and doesn't get flustered and there is ALWAYS a reply. He's always up for a debate. Day in day out.
If he was abusive or rude people wouldn't bother with him and wipe him straight away.

I don't agree with 99% of what he says but I love watching people get more and more frustrated with him as the discussion evolves. hahaha keep it up

@goofyfoot , in the past I have been frustrated and amazed at some of indo’s posts and often can’t make sense of what he’s written and this is not just on this particular thread . Ive bitten my lip on other threads and just stayed out of it . I actually get a bit of a laugh from indo’s posts knowing he believes them . On this election 22 thread I’ve constantly stirred the pot and some have reacted many have not . I don’t really take any of this too seriously but I do like reading others opinions. Andy M and others have far more knowledge and better understanding on political matters than me. I’m more against the blatant corruption and shitfuckery that the Scott Morrison Party has gotten away with in the last 4 years. I’m under no illusion that labor isn’t perfect and the two issues I personally want addressed more than anything is climate change and corruption . I believe Australia has an opportunity to clean house and maintain it with a strong ICAC and I believe we have huge opportunities ahead of us in changing our energy sources. It’s not going to happen overnight but it will happen sooner under Labor than the Scott Morrison Party if at all with the constant battle with the nationals.

GF, there is a time, an era, perhaps even years beyond frustration with @info as you suggest. In all the time I'm read his posts I can't recall him ever not being stridently 110% correct in his conviction. These days I'm either bored with the all too predictable argument and I start taking the piss or I'm left wondering in some ill-defined way whether he's okay. You got to hand it to the lil guy he is persistent.

Indo believes what Indo believes. No different from you or I. Democracy is the competition between differing opinions. No point getting emotional because Indo thinks the LNP are worth voting for as there’s literally millions of Australians who feel the same way as he does.

Insulting him is low as he doesn’t often provoke others first with abuse…I can’t recall him ever being the first to insult. People think he’s provoking them just by offering up his opinions. That’s their problem, not his and the constant abuse directed at him is pretty weak.

Okay so we have a once in 100 year pandemic something no government has every had to deal with, it's predicted to see us go into a deep recession and for the hospital system to crumble and real estate price to drop by something like 30%, which of course would also see's the building industry collapse.

Instead the government has all kinds of programs and payments that ensure the economy kicks along and the building industry and real estate stay a float.

And the result is the economy stays pretty healthy to the point we even have a building and real estate boom, we even achieve the lowest unemployment rate in decades, and from a health perspective we rate among the best in the world for Covid cases with one of the highest vax rates in the world.

Most governments, have very little to deal with and still don't do real great even just look at those before Scomo, Rudd, Gillard, Abott, Turbull, Scomo has now been in office longer than all of of them. (seperate not combined obviously)

Sadly after a 9 year run of LNP (something Labor have only achieved twice in 121 years) it's hard to hold onto power and Labor will now get their turn, but to even suggest Scomo is the worst is just complete bollocks backed up but nothing but uneducated opinion, even now with the political cycle ending and the grass looking greener for voters most polls show Scomo only slightly behind as preferred PM even if Labor are much further ahead in polls.

It's unlikely as doesn't happen much these days, but we may even see Scomo go on to be opposition leader.

Anyway you have proven time and time again to be an an A grade fuck witt that just follows me around like a lost puppy trolling me, because your basically a fascist(in the modern sense of the word) you cant stand anyone having an opinion that differs from your's especially if they aren't some academic educated type, because you look down on everyday blue collar blokes like me as inferior.

IMHO it's guy's like you that have ruined surfing, that city slicker office worker with flash cars and all the gear that comes down the coast and crowds our lineups and even worse is now moving down here in swarms.

Covid is rising to peak with Election Day.
This week SA launched their self titled "Scare Campaign" which gave Labor a Boost!
https://xyz.net.au/2022/05/double-vaxxed-isnt-fully-vaxxed-sa-government...
Certainly looks as if powers to be are exploiting the Election as a Launch Pad for Boosters
However this week's Vax stats are looking a little well done!

All know that Vax & Testing have collapsed & been flat-lining > cases are meant to be falling.
End of March / Start of April was the last we saw anything this high on a 3 day Combo.
But unlike any other time during the Pandemic we see a freakish anomaly worthy to share here & now!

It's almost as if a higher power is shaping a Covid spike to rise up to crash tackle Election Day!
11th May Vax 66,015 Tests 108,313 Cases 57,088
12th May Vax 66,735 Tests 102,967 Cases 57,646
13th May Vax 68,188 Tests 104,262 Cases 52,083

Easily the most expert Vax Quota that any Pandemic ever coughed up!
Resembles a Pokie Win at The Sharkies.
To think this lineup is pulled from several states of varying data.
It could mean Nat Cab voted for Feds to implement set Quotas similar to inbound Quarantine
eg: Feds hand feed Daily Vax / Test Quotas that States are loosely bound to!

We're seeing ramping in Vax + Testing > Cases rising with the A team soaring as a formidable pack.
So why are are both Vax & Testing rising equally to Election Day = More Cases...Mayhem!
Those not familiar only need to know more Voters are being locked out from today until Election!

There'd be many reasons to Ban [+] / Health Workers / Anti Vax / Independents (Choose any/all)
Important to know as... AEC have also banned Hospital / Age care mobile Vote rounds this Election.
What a coincidence that an Outbreak will almost certainly deny these Covid weary frontline Voters!

How many Voters are we talking about...A lot!
[+] 500k-1m +1m Hesitants may be impacted by AEC Covid Safe Plans during a ramped Outbreak.
Clear to see > 500k-1m [+] Voters need to apply for a Postal Vote by 6pm Wed 18th May
Attention! People in a Hot Spot can also apply by Wed Postal Vote & may be the case for many!

This is important...coz if [+] / Unvaxed / Hot spotters miss their default Vote Day...they're Fucked!

..........This is a strict line [+] Wed 6pm is a Postal Vote [+] Thurs 8:30am is a Phone Vote to midday Sat.
Must say! It is not made easy to find this out! Took a lot of searching...more than most would bother!

Note AEC don't wish for [+] Voters to use Phone Service because it's not geared up for more than 2,000.
They did earlier Advertise this option but have since removed it...fearing 200,000 will need it!
AEC were begging for Govt to relax Close Contact Iso for Election...Poll Day Pandemic! (Sounds Catchy!)

19th Thursday [+] AEC offer Telephone Vote...but be warned!
Last election only serviced 2,000 voters ...AEC : "This service is not up to speed with Centrelink!"
Make sure you Vote early on AEC Phone line as this will turn to shit real fast & collapse in on itself!

It's almost like Trump's election! AEC / Post / Covid problems keep arising to poll day!
Like all see this shit blowing up in their Face...all just kick the can, like I care! But! But Wot?

Yet AEC have failed to prioritize any essential Covid Procedures & 100,000's will be denied their Vote.
Not one ad on the Telly mentions Covid Safe Voting.
Reason being that AEC online process is not that simple & Voters need to plan ahead for Postal Votes!
Don't expect 100% AEC www from Wed..voters must be ahead of that or forget it! ( It will crash! )

'Covid Safe' Booths will deny non vaxed access 'during outbreaks'. (All see this is looking more likely!)
AEC advise you must check in 'if required'...people are now lazy on this & many could get caught out!
tbb don't own a mobile but feels for a VIP backtracker in a 2hr Queue to go round again.(Sorry Closed!)
Premiers could mandate Masks on Friday & millions are caught out on Saturday! (Be Covid Ready!)
How were our Premiers to know their mask mandates fell on Election Day! They're not that clever!
All know these creeps are more likely to fuck ya over than make it easier for polling day! (It's their Job!)

Somehow! AEC have failed to inform of all access Voting Centres & 100,000's will be denied their Vote!
AEC adopt Covid Safe measures > 1,000's of close contact workers will be isolating on Election Day!
AEC has hinted on longer Covid Queues > 100,000s arvo worker's votes will also be locked out.

Covid outbreak is crashing head first into the 2022 Federal Election & AEC are snoozing.
Wake the fuck up Australia! Your election is being Hijacked by data analysts!

We could see a US style 1m strong angry Lynch Mob demanding their Voting rights!
MSM claim Hesitants had their chance to Vax'n'Vote & only Un-Australians get Covid on Election Day!
You see how easy it is for just one Data Analyst to tweak his dial & calmly slither away...Kaboom!

2022 Ballot ~ 17m voters could easily be restricted to 15m...(10% of Voters gone!)
tbb don't think that's a big call...those in the know must prepare to head this off!
Everything we've seen from pathetic leaders to rise of minors only bookends this Covid switch off!
Again! tbb will allow crew to speculate...by Who & How this comes crashing down around us! Oh Gee!
tbb knows enough no know that this weeks Rollout is perfectly primed to bully next week's Election.
https://covidlive.com.au/

PS:
Govts Plan weeks out for a return to school
[L] COVIDSafe app would light up Election Day & click more Votes than ALP!
17m surfing the same Covid Wave fuel a record winter twin virus Hospital Crisis!
None of it adds up people! This shit be totally fucked up!

We're all rambling swuaking talking hopefulls. It must be important. Loved seeing crew present the ideas facts and memes. A bit of fun.

Of course decisive topics are going to get heated occasionally. Some people don't have time to write up even their whole idea or supporting facts. I reckon most do a great job. Learnt a bit. Had a laugh and enjoyed the dissection of Australian politics.

I look at it with humour and consequence. The balancing part due to fact or emotion is the hardest part. Do I offend or do I defend an argument. Ah politricks. it sucks you in and spits you out.

Is it better to be apathetic and ignorant. Can Australia do better. I think we know the anserw. wether we agree is a matter unto its self. I reckon passion counts as do facts my cause or yours. They speak for themselves.

Still reckon scomo needs a pentagram. Happy voting Australia. Take risk I dare you.

If not hope you grab a democracy sausage on the way out. Vegan vegetarian or meat lover. Covid or onions extra.

Ukraine would give anything to have peace and a return to democracy as we squabble over how to fill in the voting cards. The pen is still mightier than the sword. Offence or not. Use it.

Yep tbb - you had to plan ahead if wanting to postal vote. Eventually the official form arrived (after one party sent me their proxy postal bogus vote data harvesting special). Deed is done. Maybe it will be pencilled in 'Biden' but at least I did my part.

In my internet research, I read that there was time to post postal votes after the election??? Check with AEC. Process wasn't too straightforward, but they've got a lot to explain.

Prediction: postal votes will go heavily ALP, like they went heavily democrat in USA. Reason is people wishing to avoid infection more likely to postal vote.

As far as who lets in who with what status, don't care as don't have to go through it.

Wrong thread seeds but Tom Tilley sounds like his family were members of the Revival centres international who say that all christians must speak in tongues which is nonsense of course and unscriptural. Had a few run ins with them over the years but I think they are pretty much gone altogether now. The apostle Paul addresses all church issues in the New Testament so there is no confusion and no crazy cults……Paul addresses all the spiritual gifts and the love and service of making awesome scones on Sunday by old ladies, is as an important a gift as the gifted preacher speaking on the day….the body has many parts….not all can be an eye or an arm or a leg…everyone has a different gift to offer….all make up the body or the church…all must appreciate each other’s talents or gifts…..looks like I just did a Sunday sermon…God bless….

Im surprised no one has mentioned this

"A high-tech Chinese surveillance ship has been tracked off the West Australian coast, close to a secretive naval communications base that supports American and other allied submarines."

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-05-13/chinese-spy-ship-spotted-near-nav...

Coincidence a week out from an election?

Who do you think China would rather in ???

Scomo and LNP or Albo and Labor?

Remember Scomo caused China great offence calling for an investigation into Covid.

Well I reckon China would rather scomo seeing how he gave 20 million to encourage NT to lease the port of Darwin for 99 years.

No mention of the Chinese warships that sailed into Sydney Harbour, just a month or so after the 2019 election?

Indo you get sillier every day.
You should write in to the Daily Telegraph and suggest a headline.

“Labor and CCP in plot to overthrow Aussie Libs”.

Or maybe

“Aussie families furious at Labor/Communist plot”.

Or even

“Little Aussie battle from Phillip Island furious, outraged and disgusted by Labor/CCP treachery.

From the thermalben article above

"If the professional strategic cynics are to be believed, the Chinese chose their timing with great precision; the flotsam of an election was still washing on Australian shores and new Defence Minister Linda Reynolds still finding her feet."

Kinda naive to think these events around elections are coincidences.

Maybe its just payback at Scomo for his comments, remembering how important appearance and saving face etc is in Asian culture.

Goes to show Smoko’s political ineptitude.
Used to bullying close to home but not quite up to it on the big stage.

According to the latest Antifa newsletter (great merch on sale inside) China prefers Scomo in the election because he provides cash incentives to sell off major infrastructure to them. Wrong again Indo.

I wouldn’t trust Albo and his gang of China apologists as far as I could throw them. The ALP state leaders show us how deeply they are keen to bow.

But there’s two words which will should never forget on this issue - Gladys. Liu.
