Eastern Tasmania Surf Forecast by Guy Dixon (issued Monday 15th February)
Best Days: Each morning. Thursday looks is worth checking out.
Recap:
We saw the effects of a weak northeasterly windswell over the weekend, with a small swell building to the 1-1.5ft range on Sunday, which faded fairly quickly into today with just 1ft leftover.
Most locations were clean early, before localised seabreezes became established each afternoon, taking the sheen off the quality.
Easing swell with fresh E/NE winds tomorrow morning, smaller Wednesday as a change moves through. New swell for Thursday and Friday with average winds, cleaner and easing Saturday.
No shortage of swell this week, with solid groundswell filling in from the east/northeast and south. The early morning sessions will offer the best options, although Thursday is looking particulalry fun.
New SW swell tomorrow with S/SE winds favouring the Mid, easing Wednesday with better conditions down South but best Thursday morning. Onshore again until Sunday morning.
Strong new SW swell tomorrow with fresh to strong SW winds, easing Wednesday with better W/NW winds around Torquay through the morning. Plenty of swell to end the week but less than ideal winds.
You’ve got no excuses not to get wet at some point in the next week and a half.
Tiny tomorrow with a new SW swell filling in Sunday morning with offshores, easing Monday. Mix of SW and S/SW swells for Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.
