Fading surf, poor weekend and a window next week
After the recent run of great waves and conditions the coming period isn't too flash. There are only a couple of decent surf windows.

Make the most of today down South before winds shift onshore tomorrow. The weekend looks good with a new swell and improving conditions and options.
The action swings from the reefs to the beaches with winds out of the north-eastern quadrant and medium sized swells.
I’ve highlighted this small east swell up front because it’ll favour SE Qld beaches, and also because Northern NSW has a much more interesting southerly swell on the way too, which won’t get north of the border. More in the Forecaster Notes.
I’m still expecting three days of southerly swell activity, but I am being much more cautious in my expectations. More in the Forecaster Notes.
A couple of tricky and not overly well aligned S'ly swells with more reliable N/NE swell to follow.
Solid surf over the coming days with a peak in large SW groundswell, with plenty more surf for the weekend.
A new pulse of large swell this afternoon will ease over the coming days as winds slowly deteriorate, but there'll be options.
Plenty of good surf days over the coming period with large to moderate swells and mostly light winds.
The coming period will be great to excellent across all locations at stages with size for the reefs and good beachy waves to follow.
