respectful and chilled according to my son who was out there.

Any details Facto? Another sad loss.
damn, great band the supersuckers, some might say the greatest rock n roll band in the world.
still one of the best gigs in my memory - Bris around 1996 I think, up there with the loudest ever gigs (ears ringing for days, Splatterheads probably the loudest), and just relentless
Killdozer (my godheads) and The Supersuckers. Helluva gig.
An interview from that tour.

Sad news to hear of the passing of Clarrie Bouma (today's WOTD). Never met him in person, but exchanged plenty of emails and always enjoyed his great photography. Thoughts go out to his family and friends along the Coal Coast. RIP mate.
Gutted to lose a good mate, a gentle soul and a man of great community spirit and wisdom. A talented, photographer, musician, adventurer and great story teller. I remember that shot (WOTD today) - long lulls, only a few locals out and he sat all morning just waiting for one set to align - it was one of his favourite shots. We are missing you already 'big fella'. RIP
A gentle soul indeed, and a story for every scenario. Always cheery whenever you passed him going down the track or coming back up. I enjoyed seeing the photos of Clarrie when he was a young bloke: conscripted into the army, mountaineering through the Himalayas, or late nights playing with his band, he lived a full life, clearly travelled a lot, but he also knew the geography and geology of this coast intimately and it was good to pick his brain about it.
Jeez he loved to sit up on that point.
She added: “I was the only sex researcher at that time who was feminist. I tried to extend the idea of sexual activity to female orgasm and masturbation.”
“Her work was groundbreaking – in many ways she began the real sexual revolution for women in the 1970s after the abject failure of the so-called sexual revolution of the 1960s. In the 60s, women didn’t ever feel that they had the right to sexual pleasure. Shere Hite put women’s sexual pleasure first and foremost for the first time ever.
“She centred women’s experiences as opposed to seeing men as the default position and women as secondary. That really spoke to a lot of women about their own bodies, their own sexual liberation and sexual pleasure.”

Well played.
Yeah, Deano was great cricketer, one of the best and in an era when the national team was mostly from NSW he was a Victorian.

Now that's one bruthafucken anthem. Vale.
Been a fave of mine for decades.
Always good to bust out at opportune times.
I can't for the life of me remember who but I read the backstory behind the bloke who maybe produced or recorded the track. I remember scant details but I do recall it to be a fascinating little piece on what could arguably be one of the most iconic songs of a generation.
RIP Sister.
And it's goodnight from him...
