I totally understand how people might not like one candidate or the other. Elections shouldn't be popularity contests but the reality is there's a degree of that in play every time.
But calling someone a 'fraud' implies they've done something dishonest, and my understanding of Zoe Daniels at least is that she's worked really hard for her community, in a pretty tough electorate (though to be honest, aren't they all?).
I don't know much about Adam Bandt beyond the media headlines, but wasn't aware of any impropriety on his part either.
Though again, I can understand why people may not like him - unfortunately he's the party leader which means it's his job to be in the headlines as much as possible, which (unfortunately) means pissing off a lot of people every day (other party members are rarely known beyond their electorate, party leaders are known nationally so everyone has an opinion of 'em).
Wilson, ^^ yep plus ex IPA mouthpiece plus co-chair of a former House of Representatives parliamentary review which he unashamedly turned into a political witch hunt on Shorten’s housing policy, breaking political convention dating back to federation.

Just on @adam12s post, which was excellent reading btw, the fact Australia is a lucky country and has the luxury to procrastinate, and is slow moving and half arsed at implementing any great change or foundational law, is probably something we should celebrate to an extent. Should we be in a country that didn't have the luxury of procrastination, i'm pretty sure all the i's would be dotted, t's crossed, no loose ends and we'd live in a way more rationalized society, akin to a loss of freedom. Thank fuck we're so isolated from the rest of the world that so far, it hasn't really been a problem we've had to deal with. Keep those bootstraps nice and loose i say!

I find the call to prayer very pleasant and even nourishing too, most enjoyable, at the right time... at a reasonable time in the afternoon and early evening, used to love it in big dirty jakarta early evening, felt it cleansed my dirty soul, or more so jakarta's big dirty soul... 4.00 in the morning - not so much...
but having said that, you live in a muslim neighbourhood long enough, you don't even hear it after a while...
and you respect it. if you choose to live in a predominantly and historically muslim place, that's what you do, it's simple rules for life, that just about every reasonable person agrees on...

We know that if its religiously motivated the religion will almost certainly be Islam or related to Islam, because it's the reality of the world that we live in and backed by hard stats.
In this day and age especially post 9/11 other religious motivated attacks are rare almost unheard of within the western world, but sadly Islamic attacks are far more regular and its not just major terrorist attacks there is a long list of other incidents.
And the tolerance of criticism of each religion is also much different, you can openly mock most religions and at best these days maybe just have people complain, but mock Islam publicly and loudly and you quite literally risk your life in doing so.
We all know about Charlie Hebdo and his cartoon of Muhammad and three terrorist attacks that followed, but that is not the only incident there is others just one example.

The point is, the hard reality is each religion has different tolerance, values and goals, they are not at all equal, Islam even has its own word for the perception of a struggle or fight against the enemies(infidels), it called Jihad and those who lose their life's for the cause are seen as martyrs, as far as im aware no other religion see's thing's in this way?
There is no such thing as religious motivated suicide bombers in Hinduism, or Judaism or Christianity or Buddhism, most religion's would see the act being negative to any future life, there definitely wont be 77 virgins waiting at any pearly gates or a mother being proud that her son blew himself up in some crowded public space.
And if you take somewhere like UK or France or Germany or whatever and you then consider that in the scheme of things the Islamic population while growing fast is a minority below 10% as low as 5% then things look even worse, you have a small group that make up almost all religious violence and a majority religious group that doesn't.
The hard reality is the higher the Islamic percentage of the population grows the higher the risk of religious violence becomes, the lower that percentage the lower the risk.
You might think that view is some how racist but it's not about one race its about religion, and somewhere like Japan with a very small muslim percentage will always be at low risk of any sort of Islamic based violence.
