Small to tiny swell tomorrow with variable winds during the morning, slightly better W/SW swell for Wednesday morning with an offshore on the Surf Coast. OK swell for Thursday but not ideal winds, cleaner and easing Friday. Large strong swell for the weekend.
The weekend’s Tasman/Coral Sea ridge will be anchored across the Central Queensland coast by a coastal trough. This is expected to weaken early next week, and at the same time a new tropical depression is expected to form south of the Solomon Islands.
Saturday will see a combination of swells: initially a continuation of the slow peaky E/NE energy showing today, plus a small long period S’ly swell generated by a vigorous mid-week Southern Ocean low passing well south of the continent.
N/NE swell peaking Sunday with improving winds into the afternoon, small and fading Monday.
Easing SW swell tomorrow with a morning offshore, tiny until some new W/SW swell kicks later Tuesday, peaking Wednesday.
Easing swell with onshore winds in the South West tomorrow, cleaner around Perth. New SW swell for early next week, clean each morning and then a large clean swell a high possibility for late week.
Small new clean S/SW swell tomorrow morning, fading into the afternoon. New W/SW swell building across the Mid Coast Sunday afternoon, easing Monday.
New swell with offshore winds for the beaches tomorrow, average Sunday. New small W/SW swell Monday with variable winds, slightly smaller Tuesday. Mix of swells from Wednesday with workable winds.
Easing N/NW swell tomorrow with some small N/NE swell from Friday through the weekend. Stronger N/NE groundswell for mid next week, then a better run of W/NW-NW groundswell from late next week.
Although Monday’s forecast for the second half of this week was hardly stellar, the outlook has downgraded a little across some regions, over the last few days.
