This week and next week (Aug21-Sep1)

Central QLD:  Rideable waves in sight, possibly extending into next week

Tiny surf with onshore winds has been on offer over the weekend.

Still tiny/flat, should see rideable surf develop over the next 24-36hrs

We’re now seeing a high pressure surge with building tradewinds across the Coral Sea. The fetch is a little disjointed, which does tap a bit off the size but we’ll still see some rideable 1-2ft surf develop through Tues/Wed.

Nothing incredible but well aimed winds should generate surf

Surf will likely ease through Thurs, before another SE surge sees surf rebuild through Fri into the weekend into the 2ft range.

Next week looks like it has potential to carry on with the surf pattern. A monster high moves E of Tasmania Sun/Mon with good odds we will see SE-E/SE tradewinds rebuild in the Central/Southern Coral Sea and surf continue in the 2ft range.

Check back Wed and we’ll see how it’s shaping up.
