Tomorrow through Monday (Sep 26 - 29)

A strong pulse of S/SW groundswell yesterday is on the ease today, but conditions are still great and the surf pumping with light to moderate E/SE trades.

The swell should bottom out through tomorrow to an inconsistent 4-5ft+ at the most exposed breaks but variable winds during the morning should open up plenty of options before SE trades kick in.

A very late and strong kick in new long-range SW groundswell is due during the day ahead of a peak Saturday morning.

This swell discussed in the last few updates will be very inconsistent but strong, building to 6-8ft+ across exposed breaks by dark and peaking Saturday morning to 8-10ft.

From here a steady drop in size is due, backing off from 6-8ft Sunday and further from 4-5ft+ Monday.

Winds should be great for the peak of the swell with variable tending SE winds and then moderate E/SE trades developing into Sunday and Monday.

Next Tuesday onwards (Sep 30 onwards)

Tuesday's consistent and large SW swell is still on track with a strong node (peak) of the Long Wave Trough currently passing through the Southern Indian Ocean, steering a vigorous polar front fairly north in latitude towards us.

Wind speeds won't be especially great but the projection is near perfect and should produce a consistent 6-8ft+ of SW groundswell for exposed spots around Bali Tuesday (peaking from midday onwards) before easing off slowly through Wednesday and Thursday.

Moderate to fresh E/SE trades will develop and continue right through the week before weakening off into the following weekend.

Longer term we may see an inconsistent long-range but good S/SW groundswell for Friday afternoon, but we'll discuss this in more detail on Tuesday.
