What is it that Ulladulla has. There are many highly gifted shapers and glassers in the area making some great boards and for so long. The place has a wide choice of quality surf spots with atleast several pumping simultaneously.
I have a mate who throws rocks at the Rebel bikies as they pass by. The gas stations have blue lights in toilets to beat the smackies. There is a fair bit of unemployment.
So much surf, so much talent. What is it with This place.

I met a crew of talented surfers that claimed its got the best surf coast in the world.

I grew up surfing the South Coast, between Jervis and Merimbula. That part of the world is just so amazing, so many breaks so many little secrets so many good times and so many good mates.
So much talent too, but a lack of exposure, work and plenty of spare time in the 80s killed quite a few dreams, some did some didn't. The lure of Sydney was too much for some and they found out the hard way what the big smoke does to folks. Thirty years later I'm still stuck in the city wishing I had of saved my coin and bought that place for $12,000 at Bawley, instead of oz's of bush buds.......hahahaha.
