Monday 25th August 2025 – Manly, Sydney. Boardriding clubs from all over Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, Wollongong and the South Coast will head to Sydney’s Northern Beaches over the next few months to compete in the five-event 2025 SURFTAG SERIES.

First up the RJ Thomas Solicitor MEN’S SURFTAG will see defending Men’s champions North Steyne take on SURFTAG heavyweights North Narrabeen & Long Reef Boardriders at Queenscliff Beach, Manly this weekend. Up to sixteen teams will line up in the first event of the 2025 SURFTAG SERIES that was won last year by North Narrabeen Boardriders. 

North Narrabeen’s Men’s team will include Jordy Lawler, Dylan Moffat and Davey Cathels whilst North Steyne have named a solid squad that includes Saxon Reber, Axel-Rose Curotta, Blake Levett, Sol Gruendling, George Pittar and Dayyan Neve.

SURFTAG SERIES Contest Director Steve Harrison is looking forward to the high standard of surfing that’s going to be on display at Queenscliff, “The level of surfing is sure to be world class and there’s plenty of local rivalry on the line”, Harrison said. “North Steyne won the Men’s event last year ahead of Queenscliff and North Narrabeen and with so many big-name surfers competing it’s going to be a cracker day of surfing”.

The 2025 SURFTAG SERIES will see up to five hundred surfers represent their local Boardriding Club in five Divisions – Men’s, Grommets, Juniors, Women’s and Masters with $30,000 in prize money and prizes on offer.
