Can answer that Sypkan, if you’re interested. Fires started in August on mid north coast, hit places that had never burned before, fires continued unendingly, only the location changed, until February the year after until record rains thankfully put them all out.
So yes, fires rampant across the east coast the whole time, there wasn’t a minute when the fires weren’t frightening, somewhere.

On fires - they were burning from Sep but sadly, most people ignored it (here I’m generally referring to people from Sydney and Melbourne). It was in Dec and especially around Christmas holidays that Sydney and little bit later VIC areas got really bad. It was during this time that Scomo went on holidays and it was terrible timing because at that time everyone realised what was going on. If he went on holidays in Oct many wouldn’t even notice despite fires raging on the north coast. This is how I remember it because I was following coverage, might have been little bit different give or take. Anyway, who’s winning? Is Albo a PM yet?
Fair enough flollo if you think that. I’m from Sydney, I was engaged from the beginning, which I’m sure was August and maybe earlier. Just about every person I know was aghast, from Sydney, and we weren’t threatened at all.
The idea that people from Sydney have no connection or understanding of regional areas may be true for some, but it isn’t widespread, in my experience.
