Last I heard in Sydney about 360 infections, 40 in hospital, 11 in ICU, and 3 on ventilators. I'm not into all this keyboard warrior junk science stuff and am eagerly awaiting my second AZ jab. That ones pretty scary, I'm betting that the Covid stats for Indo are just the tip of the iceberg, expect Indo could be one of the last places on earth to get covid under some type of control.
Wife's mum, ended up getting pretty sick the other day from Covid, had trouble breathing so had to go to hospital but hospital pretty much full so just got a camp type bed in a common area, and turns on portable air, took a few days just for the Doctor to get to see her, but now she has got her own proper bed and better access to air when needs it.
I think maybe she has gone through the worst of it, but got a bit scary for a while, she looked pretty bad in the pics I've seen, she is about 60 and overweight but even if she gets the flue bad she never gets that sick.

There have so far been repeated use of ‘second wave’ and ‘third wave’ of Covid since this began last year. I suspect that in 10 years’ time we will be looking back at the spread of the delta variant as the true second wave. We may be lucky that by this time next year we get enough vaccines and the vaccines work enough to ensure our hospitals aren’t overrun, but don’t, um, hold your breath.
We could be less than half way through this.
FWIW, vaccines seem to be having a real world effect on who gets Covid and whether they end up in hospital (in Australia) although elsewhere the sinovax isn’t looking great. Unfortunately that is the main one they’ve been using in Indo.

The doctor told the grieving family that he would pronounce natural causes so as to not prolong their grief with investigations . Family acquiesced as they are overwrought but still claim it was vaccine which killed him. Point stands that it’d be pronounced a Covid death if he tested positive for Covid four days previous to dying. Presumption of innocence officially lies with vaccine.
Was my mother in law’s brother in law. I never met him and I’m not directly involved beyond my partner’s grief.

Wow, that’s a comprehensive and impressive summary of Ivermectin TBB, possibly the best I’ve seen, you should be commended.
Ivermectin had reasonable evidence by Dec 2020, approximately equivalent evidence in terms of validity compared to the compromised evidence of the vaccines yet went nowhere.
It came in to its own recently in India when they ran out of oxygen and ventilators and some regions decided to use it anyway given that people are going to die no matter what....and surprise surprise it worked as a preventative. No RCT’s just retrospective statistical analysis so therefore still not accepted in the developed countries. But the doctors in India knew it was working and saw very, very little side effects so kept giving it.
Goes to show how complicated the pharmaceutical industry is. Published evidence versus business perhaps? Not always consistent.
Maybe we should be using it in Sydney as a preventative?

Unfortunately I don’t think ivermectin will ever get past the TGA , Professor Borody tried without success. Here is a couple of previous posts I put up , the second is a letter from someone who wrote to the TGA. The TGA annual budget is approximately $165 million and we operate predominantly on a cost recovery basis. The regulatory costs are recovered through fees and charges levied on sponsors and manufacturers of therapeutic goods. Only India has that right, when it comes to the regulation of drugs! Patents DO NOT APPLY, when it comes to human health. Letter sent to TGA ( not by me ) Believe it or not, I got a reply from an email I sent to our local (Australian) TGA or Therapeutic Goods Administration which is the equivalent outfit to US’s FDA. I complained to them that their website was wrong in that it stated that “there was no effective treatment currently known to help people with COVID-19”.
Amongst all they responded with was this eye-opening bit: “The TGA would welcome an application to register ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 at any time; however, the TGA cannot compel a company to make such an application”

Thank you for contacting the Australian Government Department of Health.
In order to provide you with an appropriate response I need to provide you some background information as to therapeutic goods regulation in Australia.
Australia has a robust regulatory process for prescription medicines administered by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), part of the Department of Health. For ivermectin to be registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) by the TGA to treat COVID-19, a sponsor (usually a pharmaceutical company) is required to submit a comprehensive developmental dossier application for the medicine. This dossier usually consists of clinical studies, non-clinical/toxicology studies, and other information. Once accepted by the TGA, a formal evaluation of the application is undertaken in multiple stages by technical experts.
The process involves obtaining further information and clarification from the sponsor, and may also include seeking advice from an independent committee of external experts prior to finalisation and decision under the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989. Decisions are based on whether the overall benefit of the medicine is considered to outweigh the potential risks of its use. If a decision is made to approve the medicine, it is included on the ARTG and can be lawfully supplied in Australia for the intended use.
The TGA would welcome an application to register ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 at any time; however, the TGA cannot compel a company to make such an application. Priority and provisional evaluation pathways are available depending on the nature of the application and the supporting data.
Ivermectin has not received regulatory approval in Australia or anywhere overseas for the treatment or prevention of COVID-19. More robust evidence is required before it could be considered a safe and effective treatment option.
The National COVID-19 Clinical Evidence Taskforce, consisting of a large group of independent Australian clinical experts, is continuously updating treatment recommendations based on the best available evidence. They are currently not recommending the use of ivermectin for COVID-19 treatment outside of properly conducted clinical trials with appropriate ethical approval. Ivermectin has many patients testimonies about relieving them of long covid . Watch for a rush on new drug treatments from pig pharma under a EUA in the US later this year .
I got a reply from CSIRO. I asked them if ivermectin was on the list for the studies they will be conducting on repurposed drugs for covid 19 after receiving 1.7 million from the government. Here’s their response . Thank you for contacting CSIRO.

That is not to say that they won’t change their mind if evidence of its efficacy and side effects are positive.

Our MRFF $1.7M study remit is to evaluate FDA/TGA approved drugs and flag it upwards for human clinical trials. As such trials are already underway with Ivermectin it will not make sense to include it ex vivo screening.

I was a little shocked at Alan Joyce (CEO Qantas) announcement that international travelers will be required to have a covid 19 vaccination in order to travel on Qantas flights . The government wanted to have mandatory vaccination but after the bumbling of its release ( it was painful to watch the delivery of that announcement ) they withdrew the mandatory part but it seems Qantas and other business may demand a vaccination in order to use their services. I’m not anti vaccine by any means I just don’t trust this government or a vaccine that has been rushed through. A jab followed by another jab followed by yearly jabs doesn’t sit well with me as I have never had a flu shot or the flu for more than 20 years. Plus I don’t want to give this shot to my healthy 4 year old daughter. She is up to date with all her vaccinations but this covid vaccine is new and not being around for decades like the others. Tuberculosis remains the number one as far diseases go and you don’t need proof of vaccination to travel so what is going on ?
