It seems the more wealthy and inner an area, the more likely to vote green. Check out how the surrounding suburbs become ALP and Libs battleground. So, if we give the entire country a UBI of $200K a year, we can have a Green federal government...
A UBI of $200K a year? To paraphrase the late George Best, I'd spend $100K of it on booze and women and the other half I'd just blow.

Very hard to imagine her having a cohesive team following her.

I think you need read my post again and the discussion had it wasn't just random hate directed at muslims but a much broader serious conversation, one that started from Australia policy on immigration the effects of numbers but also effects of religious ideology on a society and the changes and yes risk that come with that.
Some suggested that all religions are equal in risk etc, i ignored the comment at first, but then Sypkan posted a related link that was quite good.
Which lead to further discussion, one that is not about hating on muslims but talking about the real risk associated with Islamic immigration and in particular the issues being seen in Europe right now that is in many ways is greatly shaping their politics with true right wing anti immigration parties even getting in, in some countries (and far right reform party last week seeing big wins in UK local election)
BTW. Ironically last night i saw a related story that i totally missed from the last few days that further proves my point.
"Eight arrested in two separate anti-terror operations"
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cx2wqy5ejdjo
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvgp2pg3njko
Im kind of shocked to read
"Last year MI5 said it had responded to 20 Iran-backed plots since January 2022."
Anyway im not going to go on about this and will just leave it there, bit of lay day yesterday but got shit to do today and in good spirits after the Pies win :D

Yesterday we saw another vitriolic defence of genocide while accusing others of being uneducated.
Whilst continuing to stereotype one religion and ignoring the main drivers of animosity towards the US and its allies.

-The Voice
-How the LNP took their eye off the ball wrt addressing the cost of living issue
-LNP backflips and half-baked policies

I like it.
I expect we’d say the extremely comfortable inner-city voters are at the top of the pyramid at the level of self-actualisation and addressing spiritual needs then.

Maybe check the ratio of renters vs property owners in said areas. Many inner urban areas have a high density of rentals, often with more transient and younger demographics. Not all affluent high-income earners. That macro business article is full of the usual guff they spout about "inner city elites".

I guess if you have no/ minimal financial worries, you can start to think bigger picture, environment, social justice etc.
Things that you probably don't think too much about if struggling to pay bills, get kids to school, stressing at work etc.
Stating the obvious I guess.
Edit: Re blackers comment, yeah wealthy and the young, both can be idealistic.

But wait, there’s more…
International humanitarian law:
“ What are the laws of war?
International humanitarian law (IHL) is a set of international laws that set out what can and cannot be done during an armed conflict.
The main purpose of IHL rules is to maintain some humanity in armed conflicts, saving lives and reducing suffering. To do that, IHL regulates how wars are fought, balancing two aspects: to weaken the enemy and to limit the suffering.
The rules of war are universal. The Geneva Conventions (the core element of IHL) have been ratified by 196 countries. Very few international treaties have this level of support.
Everyone fighting a war needs to respect IHL, both governmental forces and non-state armed groups.
There are consequences if the rules of war are broken. War crimes are documented and investigated by States and international courts. Individuals can be prosecuted for war crimes. “

Yep it's fascinating and I'll go into it further in a moment. For the $200K bit, the article mentioned electorates where 20% of people were taking home more than 4K a week, so I just did 4 x 52 for the quip.
OK - let's delve into the higher earning electorates. So it isn't just green - the polling booth charts in that article see quite a lot of grey in Sydney's northern beaches, and some grey in other areas. Grey is teals basically.
I'd like to posit that the electorate has split on income lines. If you are a high earner and live inner urban and have conservative/libertarian swing, you vote teal. If you are a high earner and live inner urban and have left leaning redistributive tendencies, you vote green.
If you are out in the suburbs/Xurbs/inner regional meth and bogan belt as I am; if you have those conservative/libertarian tendencies you vote Lib, if you have the left leaning redistributive tendencies you vote ALP. Or, you could just be completely swamped by everything going on there like the mad crush of people, rising prices and you just vote for who offers the most gimmies.
What this infers - we're never going to get the split like in the US where the cities are fully blue and the entire countryside is red. This is because in both our city/countryside, there is a left/right choice, varying in how much/how little money is an issue.
Reckon that analysis could be spot on VJ...

You must be getting desperate to find source's to spread your hate.
This story really should just stay on social media, it wouldn't even make the Women's weekly
"Politician gets abuse yelled at that them, by some random in public"
Welcome to the life of a politician...
But surely you’d think it’s the way you respond to it that’s telling?
It’s being reported everywhere @noinfo, if you had watched it you’d would have heard Price’s antagonist yell out words to the effect “you may be a senator but you don’t represent us and you’re not welcome everywhere you go”
Yep, that’s it in a nutshell
Keep hating loser, it's what you do best.
Meanwhile the people you hate actually achieve thing's in life.

Just the same old scratched records stuck on the same old riffs. same old grievances.
Self indulgent waffle.
Nonsense, mostly.
Boring, repetitive and played out. Like "woke".".In the 12 months leading up to May 9, 2025, there were no reported deaths in Australia specifically attributed to Islamic terrorism. Great post Adam.

Sorry VJ, your link is behind a paywall/data scrape. Is your second graphic a result of a survey or extrapolation of the Runcorn result?

Wanna share this Vid...struck me just how mortified Albo is by his Chix Takeover...
[4:10] Majority of 57% Women & we're still counting...of Course...
All cheer & Applaud but not Albo > he's not happy...his face turns Glum > Looks real concerned...
It's like as if he fucked up...or lost his power base > he looks pissed off...
First time in whole campaign he exhibits his cranky face...so what the fuck is happening here!
Luv to get one of them Body Movement Readers in on this...
tbb can only think > Chix are gunning for Deputy & put him on notice!
Also looks to me & most husbands > That his girlfriend is holdin' out until he makes good!
He sucks up a big one > But I also see people of all different shit diverse....Blah Blah Blah...
Tries to argue that this diversity is the bigger picture > Main Game > Not you pack of bitches!
He is real deflated & looks like death warmed up...only his dire Phone Ringing > (Jokes) lift his spirits...
[21:00] Again when he talks about exceeding expectation > he goes into retreat...Like I fucked up!
Please if any can share why we see 25 minutes of Glum Albo misery...please do share!
Man this guy should be floating on a cloud but he looks like he's being stabbed by 57% Chix Knives!
Is it sheer exhaustion or are all the chix in his world serving him notice > Waiting Albo! Your move!
Seriously...tbb admires Albo but this is real hard to watch...not a celebration at all...he's depressed!
It's like he just lost the Voice all over again...
This Guy was 100x brighter everyday during the campaign & more glum everyday till today...It's sad!
Also big news tbb earlier shared & flies under the Radar...
Just coz Albo is racing new Crew...All media actually selling he's getting on with running Parliament!

Get Ready for this...
[23:35] Parliament will come back...errr...You Know Tentative Dates > End of July!
3rd May Election > tbb tried hard to lock in a date for Parliament's return...
It's up to Albo's fiance to when & if she'll set a Wedding date...
The chix all know this >
Reckon to lock in the Wedding Date the day after Albo elects a Female Deputy!
He'll be all smiles then...All say Aye!
Back Track to 14th Oct 2025
Albo's Disapproval peaks ramping to 53% > Popularity plummeting below 40%
Liberal 2pp Vote has risen above ALP > (No chance ALP can win election!)
Albo is out for the Count & buys a Dream beach Home for his girfreind & for him to dodge the media!
