A small mix of swells filled in yesterday across the Surf Coast with 2ft sets on the Surf Coast under morning W'ly winds, while the Mornington Peninsula saw average 3ft waves across the beaches. Winds only tended light to moderate S'ly during the afternoon keeping conditions workable for an afternoon surf.

Merry Christmas from the Swellnet team! A moderate increase in S'ly swell was seen yesterday to 3ft across south facing beaches during the day. Conditions were poor during the morning with fresh S-S/SE winds, but these eased and held from the S'th into the afternoon resulting in an improvement in conditions.

The weekend started off slow, but heading into yesterday fresh levels of NE windswell started to build across the coast. This offered fun onshore peaks into the afternoon before dropping back to 2ft this morning with winds swinging offshore. The swell should of eased a touch this afternoon and winds have since gone around to the S'th.
The weekend started off average and tiny, but a new swell build through Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning offered fun and clean 1-2ft waves with an early light E/NE breeze.
The swell dropped during the day and back to a tiny 0.5-1ft today.
South Australian Forecast (issued Monday 23rd December)
Best Days: Wednesday, early Thursday, Saturday morning

Friday afternoon's increase in stormy S/SE windswell eased back to 3-4ft on Saturday across the South Coast and conditions improved during the day as the trough linked to the swell drifted south-west. This resulted in fresh morning E/SE winds backing off and swinging light offshore into the afternoon. The Mid Coast was tiny and clean with the stiff offshore.

Saturday was average with onshore winds and a poor mix of swells. Sunday however saw the surface trough responsible for Saturday's poor conditions move south-west resulting in winds swinging offshore, cleaning up fun 2ft+ waves on the Surf Coast and 3ft to occasionally 4ft surf on the Mornington Peninsula.

The weekend continued to provide plenty of E'ly trade-swell as it slowly eased across the region. SE Qld picked up the most size, with smaller waves seen from the Northern NSW coast south.
Sunday offered the cleanest conditions with light offshores, while Saturday was average with N'ly winds.
