A fun but very inconsistent S/SW groundswell filled in yesterday across the South Coast offering 2ft+ sets at swell magnets under a light variable breeze that held up until the mid-late afternoon.
This created fun glassy waves for most of the day, while the Mid Coast was effectively flat.
A small but fun increase in inconsistent SW groundswell was seen across the state yesterday, coming in at 3-4ft on the Mornington Peninsula and 2ft around Torquay with 2ft to occasionally 3ft sets at Barwon Heads.
Winds were favourable all morning and into the mid afternoon before shallow sea breezes kicked in.

Tiny surf continued yesterday morning but an afternoon kick in NE windswell was seen with fresh N/NE winds. Today the swell was continuing around 2ft across north-east facing beaches with lighter N'ly winds. The swell should persist all day as winds freshen from the N/NE again.

Tiny waves were seen through yesterday and they've continued into today but a slight increase in SW groundswell is due this afternoon from a polar front pushing through our swell window earlier this week. Clifton should build to 2ft but conditions are average with a S/SE sea breeze.
