Right now it looks like we’re potentialy in the middle of one of the longest spells of large E’ly swell in a very long time.
Another round of E/NE groundswell on the cards from mid-way through next week. Until then, make the most of each morning with small workable surf under light winds.
New W/SW swell tomorrow with all day offshores, easing Sunday. Small swells for most of next week ahead of some larger W/SW swell late.
Easing surf Saturday, bottoming out Sunday with good winds for exposed breaks. New swells Monday and Tuesday but with average winds.
Inconsistent E/NE groundswell and new S/SE swell tomorrow with average winds from the south, remaining onshore Sunday as a new S'ly groundswell fills in. Building E/NE trade and cyclone swell from Winston through next week.
New S/SW swell tomorrow with average winds, easing Sunday with morning offshores. Clean again Monday and Tuesday with small fun pulses of SW swell. Larger swell due later next week/weekend with average winds for the South Coast.
New SW swell with favourable winds for the Surf Coast Saturday morning, easing and improving east of Melbourne through Sunday. Clean both coasts Monday and Tuesday with fun sized surf. Large SW swell for later Friday/Saturday.
Easing W/NW groundswell with a small new NW swell for Saturday morning. Large mix of onshore swells building Monday, cleaner and easing Tuesday with a huge swell possible for Thursday.
Could this be a record swell duration for a Tropical Cyclone? I’m not sure, but either way it’ll be worth celebrating.
Thursday morning is looking fun with a sizey S'ly swell under light offshore breezes. The leftovers on Friday morning are also looking good although smaller. Open beaches shouldn't miss out with inconsistent 2ft options filling in off a long range E/NE groundswell.
