This weekend and next week (Apr6-Apr 12)

Central QLD: Fun surf over the weekend, easing next week

Surf has built back to fun sized.

Nice peelers on low tide

We’ve got large peanut shaped high centred over Tasmania with lobes in the Bight and Tasman Sea. The moist onshore flow from this set-up is flowing into a coastal trough and small trough of low pressure off the NQLD coast bringing fun sized E swell.

E'ly winds into a small low create fun surf for CQ

That swell should continue at current levels over the weekend with light winds.

Into next week and we;’ll see the winds in the Coral Sea back down- holding just enough strength for surf to remain at low levels, just surfable on low tides.

Further ahead and surf should stay small until next weekend at least.

Check back Mon for the latest and have a great weekend!
