Best Days: Every day up until Tuesday/Wednesday next week whent the swell bottoms out with fresh trades

This week and next week (Nov 14 - 21)

We're on the backside of another fun S/SW groundswell across the region, but heading into tomorrow and Saturday, some good, more sizey and more consistent S/SW groundswell is due.

This was generated by a strong mid-latitude low west-southwest of WA, with it delivering solid 6-8ft+ surf through yesterday before backing off to 6-8ft today.

We should see two similar but smaller pulses, the first through tomorrow afternoon reaching 6ft to nearly 8ft at exposed breaks around Bali with a secondary similar pulse Saturday before easing from the 5-6ft+ range Sunday morning.

From here on we'll see a steady drop in size bottoming out through Tuesday.

Winds look good and will be generally variable tomorrow through Sunday with a slight increase in E/SE trades through next week, becoming fresh through Wednesday and Thursday. This won't be great, as exposed spots will be the only go with inconsistent background levels of swell to 3ft+ or so.

Late in the week we're looking at a better pulse of S/SW groundswell as mentioned last update, and while it will be very inconsistent it will be a strong swell, generated by a vigorous polar low firing up in the Heard Island region over the weekend before projecting towards WA.

An inconsistent S/SW groundswell should arrive through Friday and pulse to 6ft+ later in the day, peak overnight and ease from 6ft to possibly 8ft across exposed breaks early Saturday. Winds at this stage look to back off with more variable breezes each morning ahead of moderate E/SE trades, but we'll review this Tuesday.

Next weekend onwards (Nov 22 onwards)

Longer term there's nothing as significant as Friday/Saturday week's swell on the cards, but moderate pulses of S/SW swell should continue through the following week. More on this Tuesday.
