Gold Coast Charity Fundraising Dinner with Occy & Surf Lakes Team
The Gold Coast chapter of The Board Meeting has a fantastic fundraising event coming up: dinner with Occy & the Surf Lakes team, plus an online raffle.
The Board Meeting is a registered charity raising much-needed funds for families with disabled kids - those with disabilities & mental health problems who are unable to fund themselves, or have fallen through the cracks of government support. It’s 100% volunteer run, meaning 100% of funds go where it's supposed to.
Each year a dedicated group of volunteers organise and manage The Board Meeting Corporate Surf Event, Surf Memorabilia Auction and the Legends of Surf Lunches to raise much-needed funds for local disabled kids. Over the last sixteen years The Board Meeting has raised over $1.9 million for charity - proving again that surfers have big hearts when it comes to helping the community.
This upcoming Charity Fundraising Dinner with Occy is being held at the Burleigh Heads SLSC on November 18th at 6pm. Up for grabs is a four-hour session at Surf Lakes Yeppoon with Occy, for you and 3 mates, plus $500 cash for your travel and accommodation. And if you're at the dinner in person, you'll score another $500.
Surf Lakes are currently upgrading their Yeppoon wave pool complex to enable it to open to the public. Hear first-hand the stories behind the headlines, about the Gold Coast company’s unique, patented wave pool technology. Occy will be in attendance at the dinner too.

There is also the Pirates Surf Comp ,,,," the Pirates Award for the team with the most bribes at this year's Charity Surf Comp on Nov 6th at Kawana. It is the true pinnacle of commitment to get your team those extra points to climb onto the dais and proudly show the world that you have made a huge difference to the lives of kids with disabilities here on the coast.
This is one of the only surf events on the circuit where bribes are legal..."
