While waiting for the Quik Pro France to begin, Filipe Toledo, Mig Pupo, and Ian Gouveia visited Wavegarden's mini-tub near San Sebastian. It's a 1:5 scale model of Wavegarden's commercial tubs. We're assuming the '1:5' refers to the pool size not wave size, otherwise woah!

From the accompanying blurb:

The Wavegarden Cove offers approximately 30 different types of waves for beginners, intermediates and experienced surfers that can be modified with a touch of a button. However, in recent months our fluid dynamics department has focused on improving the main reef waves by altering the bathymetry. The pros feedback has always been instrumental in guiding the evolution of the menu of waves available and the engineering team was eager to see how the surfers performed.

I wonder how long it will take for me to look at something like this and not think brain eating amoeba

See BSR just put out as message that the wavepool will change from that Portaloo green to "crystal blue clear water."

Not sure that brain-eating amoeba care about the colour of the water they swim in but it sounds good.

Steamers?
Can they heat the water?

I wish I could fit into that little tube. It actually hurts to crouch that low to bet barrelled. Not really that fun. Open ocean reefies for most of us.
