Jaddy Andre . Hats off to you mate. You’ve skimmed the cream off the pro surf competition path you dreamed of mate amd you’re an inspiration to those who want to live their best life. A couple of questions though:
1/ 0:45 seconds to 0:58 seconds .....why the fck would you include that pogo dancing in a vid of open walls and tubes?
2/ If there was ever a stereotype for pro surfers who typify just how little pro surfing means to the act of surfing as revealed by the Covid situation, if there was ever a surfer who embodied the fcked up scenario where local and rec surfers are locked out of breaks so the pro surfing circus can be ran it’s the complete and non-malicious disinterest in a heat involving Jadson Andre.
Did the surfing world really even notice when Jordy, Julian or Italo couldn’t stage a heat let alone Jaddy Andre ?

Local videographer taking the piss? "Novocastrian Waves" is the YouTube channel for both Italo and Jadson. And the soundtracks must be royalty free music available to the videographer, not what the surfers have in their headsets pre-heat. One hopes. Give a journeyman a break, Blowin.

I’ve made it clear that I respect Jaddy’s talent and spirit but unfortunately he falls on the wrong side of the cost/ benefit analysis when contemplating the zero sum game of local punters and rec surfers giving up what may be the best conditions of the year so the pro surf circus can run its course.
Given that surfers around the world are forced to look on in frustration as someone like Jaddy gets to push their career uphill when everyone else just wants to go surfing, I think it’s time to admit that if Jaddy wants to live his dream of surfing perfect waves whilst the rest of the world looks on longingly, then he should write a letter to the fckn Starlight Make A Wish Foundation because the sympathy of everyone else runs out when it means that Jaddy scores whilst others go without.
Regular punters have dreams just like Jaddy does, but we don’t insist he gets out the water whilst we aim for ours. Only one life to live and if the best day in history rolls around and I was stuck on the beach whilst some dead wood pro from the other side of the planet got to live his white wedding I’d be fckn spewing.
How bout you, Lucky Al? You willing to sit out the best day ever at your local or some spot you’ve traveled around the world to surf just so Jaddy can aim for the stars......and get another 33rd?

Ha! Guess I have to admit that's not my cup of tea. I was however pretty stoked when the ASP tour came to town in 1987 and I could hang around on North Gong beach with my grom mates for a day collecting autographs and see Matt Archbold surfing in real life. Think of the groms! Also, I think that sportspeople of Jadson's mindset and relative talent are essential members of the cast of any sports league. I reckon Jadson probably still dreams of becoming the champ one day and believes he can do it - so let him go for it for as long as he's still got the spark in him.

Not really. Kind of remember a couple of Kong's waves. My memory is bad, and the surf wasn't exactly memorable was it. Funny though I do have a fairly clear memory of one decent right where Mr X in his webs fell off flat on his back at the start of his first bottom turn, and I thought hey I can do that.

now you can sit next to em at a cafe smashin avo's.
