Off to the bottom of the garden with the fairies and the conspiracy theorists whee hoo let's see what load of nonsense I can get the idiot fringe to believe today while I sip my latte in my penthouse suite pissing myself laughing at them!

"Paul Joseph Watson (PJW) is an alt-lite English YouTube vlogger who publishes a mixture of absurd and bigoted articles for Prison Planet, a sister site of Alex Jones' Infowars. Watson has helped normalize innumerable conspiracy theories, such as the "Clinton is dying" hoax.
Watson has been trying to convert fringe conspiracy theories into mainstream ideas for years. He often attempts this with misleading clickbait-y videos with titles like "The Truth About…" These videos never actually contain the truth about the things they are about; instead, they contain a mixture of misleading claims, baseless speculation, conspiracy theories, and outright lies."

"@Factom

Pretty safe to say I've had much more contact with Islam/muslims than you have, I've lived and worked in indonesia the country with the biggest muslim population in the world (more than half the 20 staff i worked with were muslim), spent years of my life there, have muslim friends in Australia and Indonesia, about 80-90% people at my wedding were muslims, some of my wife extended family are muslims including one uncle that has a few wife's.

As said many times you can love the person but hate the religion, christian or muslim or whatever.

Im not scared of what i dont know, the more i learn about islam and the quran the more i understand why we have a problem.(when people actually follow it as its meant to be)

To be honest, i dont think Australia should really fear the effects of Islam, we are democratic country with a very small muslim minority, but that said we should ensure it conforms to our ways and we aren't made to conform to its ways, and this calling any criticism of Islam, Islamphobia is crazy, it deserves criticism like any religion (criticism is different to mocking though)

Indonesia though, there is an argument things are changing the moderate form of Islam is being influenced by countries in the middle east, not just my opinion either, as i said in the other thread, Jokowi gets reelected, all should move along in the same vein slowly, but if Prabowo gets elected in upcoming election, we could see a much greater influence from a more conservative anti west type Islam...I do fear that but thats a warranted fear.."

indo-dreaming Friday, 29 Mar 2019 at 12:18pm

BTW. Not Indonesia, but right next door and more evidence of the changing face of islam in SE Asia and the growing influence from the middle east (article from yesterday)

"Brunei is to begin imposing death by stoning as a punishment for gay sex and adultery from next week, as part of the country’s highly criticised implementation of sharia law.

From 3 April, people in the tiny south-east Asian kingdom will be subjected to a draconian new penal code, which also includes the amputation of a hand and a foot for the crime of theft. To be convicted, the crimes must be “witnessed by a group of Muslims”.

Brunei, which has adopted a more conservative form of Islam in recent years, first announced in 2013 its intention to introduce sharia law, the Islamic legal system that imposes strict corporal punishments.

It was a directive of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, who is one of the world’s richest leaders with a personal wealth of about $20bn (£15bn) and has held the throne since 1967. He described the implementation of the new penal code as “a great achievement”.

Luxembourg PM takes Arab leaders to task on gay rights at summit

Alcohol is already banned in Brunei, as are showy Christmas celebrations, and there are fines and jail sentences for having children out of wedlock and failing to pray on a Friday. However, a heavy international backlash against Brunei imposing some of the more brutal sharia punishments has slowed their full implementation over the past five years."

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/mar/28/brunei-brings-in-death-by-...

Yes its really only suppose to apply to Muslims, but the reality is that is not always the case, numerous cases in Aceh where its been applied to others, but yes it does seem a choice to what system they choose to go under, but remember if they go the proper legal route there obviously would bias against a fear trial/punishment because of their faith https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/feb/28/indonesia-christians-flogg...

Eg. When the supreme court pic was yet to be known, leftist organisers were told to protest but not knowing who the pic was, they issued their minions with placards leaving the name to protest blank. Later filled with Kavanaugh.

Eg. Ads in papers paying $15/hr for protestors.

Eg. Ioseb Jughashvili was employed as a socialist newspaper writer in the Bronx in NY. Later he and his accomplices were shipped then sent by train into Russia to enact a revolution, paid tickets all the way. His later name? Josef Stalin.

Sypo writes to BB - "All smartarseness aside - me and you - give me one straight answer ffs. What's your take on the russia debacle?"

Mind if I grab the baton? Too bad if you do lol.
Kinda been busy the last 6 months, soooooo haven't really been doing the politics thing.
But the way I see it, Trump brought the heat onto himself when he PUBLICLY asked Russia to publish leaked emails from Democrat candidate Hilary Clinton.
Just take a step back. Think about that. Put all the white noise behind you.
Could you EVER IMAGINE Ronald Reagan, George Bush SNR, JFK, PUBLICLY ASKING RUSSIA to supply leaked AMERICAN EMAILS to the world media in order to shame their DOMESTIC political adversary and win an election? TBH I couldn't even picture Bush jnr doing that.
Everyone is so addicated and caught up in "reality shock tv", that instant dopamine hit, that they now long for it even in the political hemisphere. We're seeing it right now this week in Australia with One nation. Incredible stuff was unearthed about Sco mo on Monday, we had a train wreck on Q&A, but that is all distant history as we search for that next 1/2 hour.buzz.
So.... Discussing Trump in detail or at length is a waste of time, because You, sypo, do not have the mental capacity anymore to carry out a prolonged debate and analysis of all that has happened. It's ok.... Neither do I...
When the report CLEARLY says "it does not exonerate Trump", but Trump gets on TV and says "report totally exonerates me", it's obvious we have a bigger problem than Trump.

he did bring it on himself sheepdog, I don't think the investigation was unfair.

What's unfair is, now that they've investigated it, to the absolute enth degree, and essentially found nothing of substance, that the media are totally refusing to even eat a sliver of humble pie, they're just steam rolling right on with it.

I really don't give a fuck about winning a point on here, or trump winning anything for that matter, but I sincerely and wholeheartedly think the democrats are playing a very dangerous game. Doing untold damage to democracy both domestically and internationally, and they're especially fucking over 'the left' of politics in the process, in all of its forms.

Seriously, trump may not be winning, but the democrats sure are losing, on all fronts. Scary times ahead...

Sheepdog, Putin hates Clinton for her criticism of him and the sanctions she placed on his cronies as Secretary of State. So this was personal. Russian interference began as early as the Democratic Convention to try and prevent her becoming the Democrat candidate.

In the circumstances it is likely then that the Russian interference in the Presidential election was instigated by Putin rather than Trump. We know though that there were numerous meeting and contacts between influential Russians and people working on the Trump campaign. To imagine that this was innocent and Trump knew nothing about it is beyond belief. On the same day that Trump in a speech called for them to obtain Clinton's emails, records show they began hacking her.

Mueller has stated that there is no evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia. This is almost certainly true. Putin, who was in all probability personally directing the operation, would never work with someone as foolish and unreliable as Trump. Russia has a huge network acting to influence people in all sorts of directions for all sorts of reasons. To have been found to be directly working with a US Presudential candidate was too risky given the ability of the US to respond.

So Trump, in one sense is innocent, unless the failure to pass on what he knew about Russian influence on the election can be classified as a crime. If not it is certainly not the behaviour of a genuine patriot or someone who was honestly trying to make America great again.

Mueller, according to Barr's letter, left the question of obstruction of justice open but Barr, on his own initiative, decided not to prosecute. In the circumstances it is vital that the full report be released so the reasons for Barr's decision can be seen to be fair ........ or otherwise.

There are several other matters involving Trump before the courts in New York State including various financial irregularities and a sexual assault case. Even if he gets re-elected, these will not go away. His future will probably depend more on the political expediency of those involved rather than his actual guilt or innocence of the charges. That's the American way.

19722020

They say that history does not repeat but it does rhyme or echo or behave in deeply weird ways that suggest events can be connected across the space-time continuum by some kind of wormhole or general quantum weirdness that is not yet even on the horizon of our understanding. So the connection 19722020, Nixon-Trump. But let's not get too far into this. Let's not assign mere coincidence into some Blue Book weirdness until it has actually unfolded. But the signs are there. Times are not normal. If truly bizarre shit is about to unfold we need to be ready. We need to stare into the void, brace ourselves and hope things are not going to become totally unwired.

I'm talking major shit here. The sun blowing us off into the dark wilderness of interstellar space. The black hole at the centre of the Milky Way sucking in the whole grand shebang in a sudden sharp in breath that drags the whole fucking galaxy beyond its event horizon, drawing it out into nanospaghetti. Shit we could be talking about the collapse of the dark matter endo skeleton holding everyfuckingthing together, unravelling the entire fabric of the universe.

But it's late and yes I am a bit stressed so maybe I'm overstating things. Probably. Almost certainly. It's been a tough day. Maniacs on the highway, weirdos in the water riding strange surf craft that rise up out of the water and float like some sort of flying saucer, all the time bouncing up and down like a demented toddler who can't quite get the hang of a trampoline. And then Hanson on TV, suffering an intense anxiety attack, her eyes roaming wildly around in their sockets, unable to focus on anything, stuttering and spluttering, trying to drag the rest of the world into her own personal alternate universe, in desperate need of medication, serious medication, anti-convulsants, anti-psychotics, Valium, Librium, Endone, anything capable of relieving the psychic pain, of turning off the nagging doubts tearing what's left of her soul apart on national television. Anything that will help her cling to her delusions, help stop the ever increasing understanding that she is WRONG in every sense of the word, factually, emotionally, spiritually, financially, anything that will help deaden the sense that she is hanging out on a narrow rock ledge above a thousand metre drop in a howling ice storm. Freezing? Falling?

And Scomo, anaesthetised to the eyeballs, announcing that the Liberals will place One Nation below Labor, through gritted teeth and a smile capable of curdling the milk of human kindness, in the unlikely event he ever came close enough to look directly at it. Winging it, making up the shit as he goes along. No logic, no consistency, yesterday it was a party decision, now it's a captain's call. And it's the Liberals but not the LNP in Queensland, and the Greens are still worse than One Nation, yep there he is, an adult man on prime time TV, talking absolute fucking crap, unable to make the simple moral judgement that a pack of rabid racist bunglers who tried to drag us down into the US swamp of mass murder every other day are in absolutely NO FUCKING WAY morally superior to a bunch of over ethicalised bleeding hearts who have supported every indigenous initiative, every sensible environmental issue and whose only fault is their ability to induce guilt in whatever hearts are still capable of sustaining it and the kind of deep psychological unease in the rest of the population that usually precedes some kind of spiritual crisis in those still in possession of a soul and the symptoms of acute food poisoning in the rest.

But it's time to get back to the point, it's here somewhere, just give me a couple of sentences or maybe a paragraph and I'll be into it. Something to do with the Nixon-Trump connection. Oh yeh, it's the way shit has just jumped across four decades and is ready to emerge from a conveniently located wormhole. Trump-Nixon, Watergate-Russiagate, are we ready for a replay? Are we ready to witness the whole sordid business of a criminal being re-elected US President. AGAIN? Surely once in a lifetime is enough! Oh fuck, time to finish that cask and try to sleep before ......

OK, OK I've got to get a grip on this. Some basic rules. It's the weekend, stay off the highway and stay out of the water. Draw the blinds, play some soothing music, say The Land of Rape and Honey, at a volume loud enough to drown out the noise of the surf and prevent me hearing anyone ringing the doorbell. Phone on flight mode. Download the sanity checking software. Run it until I know the right answers. "Look I can prove I am sane, just ask the algorithm!"

Now down into that wormhole. 19722020. We need to know who's who. Who is playing with which bits of whose aging or defunct soul inside them. We have the Nixon-Trump beast. A twin headed demon. With some time and a deep dive into the foetid politics of the past we could probably find previous incarnations, but not now, we need to know the other players. McGovern, Muskie, god help us the bitter twisted remains of what passed for Hubert Humphries' soul could still be lurking inside some Democrat hopeful out there in the wilds of Wyoming. And aaaagh, yes, Spiro Agnew may be lurking inside Mike Pence or some VP hopeful with a knife in his pocket and a head full of pure naked opportunism.

And here in Australia is the disembodied essence of Billy McMahon floating around like some ghostly rabid bat waiting to infect some Liberal hopeful with Lyssavirus or Hendra virus or some totally unknown virus with the capacity to spread human to human? Some really nasty bit of DNA ready to stick itself into your genome right where it hurts. So obvious! How did we miss it? Scomo. Bitten by a bat. Loaded up with the incompetence gene straight from McMahon, the fumble and stumble gene, the one that makes all those lies even less believable than they might be uttered from an uninfected brain. Note to self: keep an eye on his ears. Compare old photos to recent. And if he's part McMahon, then shit shit shit too fuckin' obvious again, Gorton has lodged inside Turnbull. Same patrician condescending manner. Knifed, just like before, by a rat cunning incompetent. And holy emoleum, they're all here playing out the whole sick scenario again. Tony Abbott-Billy Wentworth. Same seat, same bullshit masked by incoherence, It's true, it's actually happening.

The flux capacitor is running hot, we're deep into the weirdness now, this wormhole is busier than George St before the tram line or light rail or whatever it is they are actually building there. I mean what the fuck are they building? Some quantum laser weapon that requires a couple of kilometres of rail! But no, let's not go there. Let's just stay in this wormhole and drift a little deeper, if I can hang in, if I can only hang ..........

How good is this !

https://www.smh.com.au/national/nsw/precedent-collaroy-residents-to-get-...

Looks like the government will be paying for a carport to protect my car from hail , a beach shelter to keep the sun off me and buying me a couple of spare leg ropes to protect my board from the rocks.

Get those hands out people .....it’s raining free money !

Barking up the wrong tree Blowin. The work is primarily aimed at protecting the main road immediately behind the properties which is the only main road linking the southern end of the NB to the northern end of the NB. The houses will be just part of the barrier. If they let the houses go no wall would be able to protect the road ...... but yeh go for the free leg ropes and carport. The worst that can happen is that they will laugh at you.

Isn’t it weird when you revisit a place which youd previously known quite well but which you haven’t visited for years ?

Seeing the past overlayed by the present. Memories you’d not even realised had disappeared come flooding back.

Facto -Another week down , another Sunday morning waking up face down in the dirt amongst patchy scrub out the back of the local pile on bar. Another consensually used dinger hanging half way out of his gaping corn hole. Happy memories of being roughly taken by a team of transient truck drivers passing through his tiny mind.

And yet another creepy and sad psychological projection moment.

Meanwhile in the UK...
