Was never a huge silverchair fan - didn’t not like them but just weren’t high on my list. This ABC article was really interesting.

Same actually at the time i hated and dissed them even if mates loved them, over the years ive come to appreciate how good they were for their age and while not a band i love, i now own a few albums picked up cheap in op ops etc and might slip a song into a Spotify mix
I watched the ABC 1st part of the docco last night, was a decent watch, they seem like down to earth guys and good to see ended up quite normal and seem happy with family and kids and good to see they are mates still.
Daniel on the other hand from all recent interviews ive seen just seems like he ended up a freak, bitter and not happy and thrown away those friendships which is sad.

Haha James’s sober eyes looking at the crowd seem to be wondering have I made a good decision here.
I liked it.

Too old for good live footage. In the vein of Paul’s thread. No voters. Irony is I own a V8.
V8 and manual is lots of fun.
A very productive morning on CAD today to original version of this song on loop... wha?! Well, it worked.
For you guys, the version sung by blueberries:
Instant classic
You are a bad, bad man VJ. Those blueberries.....
Just don't eat them!

The first band i loved, wasn't expecting much but they did a pretty good job especially seeing Gene & Paul are in their 70's
But the song of the week :D
Kiss were great. The whole day was an awesome show. It's just a pity the wrong team won.
Well deserved win according to Mr Einstein

Well played...and just reminded me...directly after the game, getting fresh air on the balcony, a magpie perched directly above my head eyeballing me for a good few minutes. He actually stared me down. Lol
I think he's lined you up for swooping season mate after you backed the wrong team :)
seeds, awesome Freddie King track, absolutely brilliant.. microtones that sitar-masters would admire, and an audience verbally appreciating, similar to Hindu audiences.
I don't hate tropes like 12-bars, just hate white-boys with stomp-boxes and banjos (unless they have something very unique to offer), and 1st year jazz-students playing reggae in beer gardens on a sunday. Jimmy Cliff reggae is awesome, as is KRS1 rap, Varttina harmonising Scando, Ye Vagabonds Irish..
Huun-Huur-Tu are brilliant, but Hanggai are basically One Direction on the world music circuit.
It is kinda bizarre these anti-appropriation ideals, my tastes, in that none of it is real, really, the bagpipes are probably Hungarian-region-ish. In cooking terms: until recently India didn't have chillis and UK didn't have potatoes, etc, but I like 'traditional' cooking.. so, I guess my 'bent' it is an enjoyment of 'things particular cultures have made their own in the last 400 years'. Anyway, dug the Freddie King!
heya southernraw, hope yr good!

Opti must be close to heaven these days, surrounded by his faithful flock, filled with joy as he waits to die and, best of all, free from annoying SN posters posing difficult unanswerable questions.
well, he gave seeds a cool band name, thanks to you -
that frog parable and seeds' response was frickn classic ; )

Alright, time for some discussion on what yr all listening too. My iTunes inventory is getting a little stale so I'm up for some inspiration.
Currently loving The Drones' album "Havilah".. incredible songwriting and some of the best recorded guitars and drum I've heard in a long time. I'm a little late to the party with this album but it's on high rotation at the moment and will probably stay there a while. I've seen these guys live once (Fowlers, Adelaide) and fortunately they're incredible on stage too. Can't wait to see them again.
