Tunes

Thanks for the arvo diversion Rob. Random but fun selection. The Chantays were a fun watch - never actually seen that before. Here's a theme if anyone can pick it. No hints.

We all can.

Still mulling over your earlier theme (ruok?) Icandig. But this I can do.

You're overthinking it Blackers. Thanks for the thoughts and tunes. They're all bands from over the ditch. That's the only theme I was going for. I'm good as gold. Guru's was my all time favourite band for a long time. Them and Sunnyboys. Must have seen them both 20 times each.

Ha ha. I just relooked at the titles of the songs. I see how you got there. Seriously though -thanks. I'm good.

Sweet. I can do that too.

That's a whole other theme. Sorry. I'm a juvenile in an old mans body.

True, no apologies needed.

After triggering myself through no fault but my own on the other forum important forum. I'm out for a while. Keep the quality coming and enjoy what you got or what you do. First is a well known repeat of soothing nature. psyc and get some pits .

Hey Rob. Not sure what you're referring to, but don't stress. We all get a bit carried away sometimes. I often post stuff that I reckon is funny, but probably paints me as a bit of a dickhead. (I can live with that though). Have a break. Come back soon.

Keep them coming Rob. I like the cut of your jib. After all, variety is the spice of life....
First ABBA track in this thread? If so, I'm good with that. I blame my older sister. You're a legend A-M xoxox

Enjoy the weekend.

The cure to all your ills. Most efficacious in every case.

They don't work? They are fun though. Choose your own poison.

Funnily enough I was having a quiet night in. Guess my mind was wandering elsewhere.

....so passé.
.

They were rather inconsistent with that message.

blockheads live, yeh

Before we leave the drinking songs altogether, a nod to the masters of the genre.

Saw the Cosmic Psychos on the weekend. Sound was pretty suss but.
Here's a hell of a drinking song.

mo from the stooges?

shout has the sound right

If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything…

Still the most aggressive and one of the fastest 90's punk songs from the USA
(despite the descendants who werent really that melodic or interesting...they were the fastest band though.)
Another one that the lyrics remind me of Kings Cross and the big hill, coke sign and drugstore hooligans. Back when Green Day were good...they might have become sellouts but id take a few mill a record if it was offered to me...i just wouldnt change my sound like Green Day did.

not their fastest but one of their best.

As usual Adam Beyer produces quality techno again...worth listening to with a coffee mug or something stronger if possible.

Best to have real good earphones for this one. Made it all by herself on logic i think.

Welcome back Rob. Some gold in there.

Happy Monday?

60's Prog Psych band LOVE...must have classic LP (2 Songs + Live Comeback special)
A House is not a Motel...
2016 Still the best ticket in town ~ Come alive version...Salute the old school!
Alone Again or...(The Damned Cover is also brilliant!)

Cool clip, great song, absolute legends.

Classic covers or covers of classics?

Blackers your not making it easy. Had to have a stab during lunch here's a couple might be a bit hit and miss as I am not super familiar with all of them.

You do alright Rob, can’t fault those. Try this one.

Some may not like this but i do.
Classic selection there Rob, love "My way" the most.

Nice one groundy, an interesting take on a great tune.

Love it Blackers. Paul Kalkbrenner is an awesome artist and has made a movie called Berlin Calling. Definitely worth a watch with subtitles.

Some gitar wizardry here.
Alright, time for some discussion on what yr all listening too. My iTunes inventory is getting a little stale so I'm up for some inspiration.
Currently loving The Drones' album "Havilah".. incredible songwriting and some of the best recorded guitars and drum I've heard in a long time. I'm a little late to the party with this album but it's on high rotation at the moment and will probably stay there a while. I've seen these guys live once (Fowlers, Adelaide) and fortunately they're incredible on stage too. Can't wait to see them again.
