Bez was a Punk tripper and real solid band leader...tbb would turn up at 'Mystery of Sixes' rehearsals.
Said that coz many others envied us...we respected each others bands!

Saw these guys at the Arthouse in Melbourne in 2009 a week before I got married I have long been a fan but fell out of touch and hadn’t been listening to spermbirds for a long time they were so ducking good there is footage on YouTube of the gig and I can just make out my arm punching the air to something to prove my favourite song great awesome love experience I have always said if I had the money and time I would shoot off to wherever they were playing to experience that feeling again great fucking band

*Unusual for Canadian band to have Modern Sound (Big But!) They hit pay dirt when they do!
Example : 1966 Les Talismans - L'Interplanetaire (Sound was not equally matched until - 2006 Muse!)
*Unusual to Label Double A Side...meaning this was likely a polished up experimental track.
*Unusual to have Drummer 'Rick Buckthorpe' as Lead Singer to drive the tune...Man! Did that pay off!
*Unusual to have so many amps to afford drummer a mike & quality amp! Good for them! Wow!
*Unusual - Young Drummer / Band look ultra New Wave ... maybe why song sounds & keeps modern!
*Unusual futuristic unit & sound is impossibly fast tracking the Post New Wave era 20 years too soon!

tbb can't find an equivalent modern composition until 1991 ... Eno / U2 ~ Mysterious Ways
Wotz weirder...'67 track sounds more modern each year as Mysterious Ways dates more each year!
tbb ever argues that raw true sound keeps fresh (vs) outdated over produced tracks sound daggy.
Just love the fact how these guys downplay their track...
Never knowing that one day it 'd be worth more than they could've ever dreamed possible.
Pity the obscure band can't afford to listen to their own record! Problem every band would luv to have!

Bonus : Hang about for the basket of delights mid track...Oh man, is that trip worth a million bucks!
