Bigger game on tonight Southern. The Pineapple Cup to see who gets to beat Collingwood next week. Was speaking to a mate in the surf today, from North Devon. His wife's family are all Pies supporters. He doesn't understand the obsession, with either the team or the game, but then again he is a Southampton supporter. They got relegated last season

Locked and loaded @blackers! Haha poor fella from Devon. Won't take him long.
Goldy by 27 is my punt, but gonna be hard to stop the Lions on the comeback and hard to imagine them not making the prelims.
Hopefully Rowle and Anderson can back up last weeks midfield shenanigans.

Blow it out your arse

haha good on ya @seeds. Put it this way, i won't be unhappy if Brisbane progress to take on Collingwood at the G.

Woot woot go the Lions
Something random now. Whenever I see Kane Cornes I see Quagmire. (His eyes are too close together) ((you can’t trust ‘em))

Agreed @seeds. No faith in the corn.
Back to the game, of note, Dimma has won the biggest final of the two coaches on this ground.
Hmmm.

Jeepers,, Charlie looks nervous. Nothing like a bit of underperfoming pressure to send shivers up the spine of a player in a huge final. Hope he plays well. Love Charlie!

Is big Maccanoo back? Dave Hughes could out play Charlie lately.

Would love to see Ben Long have a night out.
Stoked BT is commentating.

hahaha @seeds!!!

We've got a game!

Logan Morris is a talent. How was that pass to hit up Berry? Suns looking creaky down back. Good close game at least.

Good pick up @blackers.
Suns playing very sunny, Lions playing like reigning premiers

Damn. Hell of a game. Adv Lions first q.

Rayner and Ashcroft carving them up

Johnny Noble missing that set shot then giving away 50m and a goal could be the game.
2 goal turnaround at the most critical part of the game

Two, two goal turnarounds that should have been GC goals. That's 4 goals to 0 for Lions. The margin is 5 goals. That's the game. They blew it.

@seeds i'll back ya's all the way til Geelong if it so happens to fall that way!!

Looking good now

Yup, Suns are cooked. Outnumbered in the goal square too many times. No forward line to speak of.

SR Grand Final you mean?

Bring it on @seeds. Would be an epic matchup of the two best teams of the last 5 years.

I think i can kiss my $7 goodbye about now.

Think of what you could be buying instead. :(

Half a pie!!

Fitty on the Lions for the flag

A sausage roll from the Red Hill Baker or a Builders Pie. Must be spensive down your way.

Now's that's a Parma and a pint, as well as something for the missus.

Literally by the day.
Shit @seeds, that's a bet i'm not willing to take after tonight! haha

Well ya just know AW isn't far away with all things Collingwood for next week. Especially buoyed with a Rails win today.
That aside, I hereby pledge my allegiance from this point on, to the Mighty Cats!!
We are Geelong.....!! :-P

Well done @seeds. Yeeeeww!

Southernraw. Hi mate.
Yes, Railways Football Club, the Mighty Tigers of The Great Southern League , SW, WA, had all four divisions in Grand Finals yesterday, all bar one saluted.
I have it on great authority after receiving party emails yesterday and from partying players late last night that the wins have been a attributed to us Victorians who made the trek to the West back around Anzac Day where $35K of beers left their kegs, one of my mates, Big Jim, drank most of them and choofed half a weed forest, he’s a machine.
A great football club with great people. AW

Pies at the MCG next Saturday , twilight game, just how we like it.
Rain and very ordinary, possibly chilly conditions to prevail, just how we like it.
Rayner will get his pants pulled down and that Ronald McDonald of a player who likes to carry his own travel bags everywhere, McLuggage will barely get a kick.
Pies by 13 points. Kiss of death. AW

^^ has the Comedy Festival started?

GuySmiley. Hi mate. Hope ya having a nice weekend.
Very humerus indeed, my elbow is aching from laughter..
Some punters may say the Comedy Festival is open all hours, take a look at The Hangar, they’re all playing where’s our Captain AMerretta going and pin the tail on the DONKey, Where’s Sammy ‘Glitter’ Draper playing , the coach, well, he’s not so Great Scott. Much to ponder. AW

^^ I’ll put your droll dribble down to nervous energy about the Collywobbles biting the nuff nuff army on the arse

Footy Fact.
Collingwood has never played Hawthorn in a Grand Final.
Am I looking a bit too far ahead?
I’d be interested in your feedback. Your loving friend. AW

I was in Palmer today. The sights to see are luverly! I had no idea about Rex Amber's magnificent sculptures in Mount Pleasant, let alone the great Bear Rock.. (a 4' x 4' sign leading into the town from both ends reads 'Palmer - home of Bear Rock!')

Rex Amber's lauded work!

(I loved it! soo League of Gentlemen or Father Ted..)
ya gotta admit now, @blackers, the crumbling little concrete Robe pyramid is not so bad in an SA context, haha..

Huge congrats to Anglesea Roos taking the flag for the first time on 26 years over Torquay on the weekend!!!
HUGE result and celebrations in the town.

views from the cockpit. Hi mate, great news, go Kangas, about time Torquay got knocked down from their perch.
Anglesea pub would be rocking. AW
Season starting this week so we need a thread to document Collingwood's run to its it's 17th premiership and the year Nick Daico's wins his first of four brownlow medal's.
