Updated: 2018-10-20 08:00:00 Surf: clean 4-5ft E Winds: Light N Weather: fine Rating: 6/10

Winds haven't quite picked up yet so conditions are still reasonably clean, and the east swell is thumping through with solid 4-5ft sets at exposed beaches. You'll find worthwhile options just about everywhere for the next few hours, though protected northern corners will offer the best waves once the breeze picks up.

2018-10-20 05:47:00: peaky 3-5ft E, Light N, partly cloudy 6/10

Dawn Report: The northerly wants to kick into gear - but for now it's only light so it's not affecting the surf too much. We've got clean conditions in general witha decent E'ly swell pushing 3-5ft across most open beaches, it's a little full and fat with the early high tide but there'll be waves up and down the coast for the next hour or two before the wind confines the only surfable options to the protected northern corners. Tune in to the updated photo report around 8am.
