South Australian Forecast (issued Monday 28th April)
Best Days: Protected locations down South tomorrow afternoon, Mid Coast Wednesday, South Coast Thursday, possibly early on the South Coast Saturday

After a pumping day of waves on ANZAC Day, Saturday was average, with only a short period of W/NW offshores early before a strong S'ly change moved through. This created poor conditions across both coasts but brought with it a late kick in new swell.
Victoria Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Monday 28th April)
Best Days: Tuesday morning east of Melbourne, Thursday, early Saturday west of Melbourne
Recap
The Surf Coast offered a small clean window of waves Saturday morning with an easing swell from Friday and fresh NW winds ahead of a SW change around 9am. The Mornington Peninsula was average with the NW tending SW wind.
Heading to mid north coast tomorrow. noticed on LT forecast Saturday 3rd May is 1.7m WSW at 254 degrees. 2-3 ft and I think 5-6 SF beaches. Is this a computer modelling error? Ie swell direction & resultant wave size prediction? wSW for an ESE facing coast at only 1.7m doesn't make sense to me. No other swells in the water either.
Yesterday started off tiny but a steep increase in new W/SW swell should have been seen into the afternoon with the crossing of a vigorous and deepening cold front across us.
In the wake of the front today we've seen cleaner conditions and a good 2-3ft of swell. Conditions have remained good into this afternoon but the swell would of eased further.
