This week and next week (Feb5-Feb14)
Central QLD: Easing swells short term with next week now looking a bit lacklustre
Plenty of fun waves in the recent past, easing into the weekend.
The next S’ly change pushes into Tas Fri before stalling, with a useful fetch of SE-E winds aimed up at East Coast Tas.
No great change to the outlook as a tradewind fetch anchored by tropical low pressure near New Caledonia remains active before the low slides off to the SE later tomorrow and into Fri. We’ll see continuing mid-period tradeswells from this source, slowly easing from todays peak.
There are two fun swells inbound though one of them will be spoilt by strong onshore winds.
Another strong groundswell is due to end off the week, cleanest as it eases.
No great change to the outlook as a tradewind fetch anchored by tropical low pressure near New Caledonia remains active before the low slides off to the SE later tomorrow and into Fri. We’ll see continuing tradeswells from this source.
The Mid Coast will be the pick of the period with small waves as the South Coast sees persistent onshore winds (apart from tomorrow).
Windows for a clean wave with the coming swells will be for those on the pulse.
Cyclone swells ahoy for both Indonesia and the Maldives.
