Good surfing options across both regions this week with a large W/SW groundswell and varying winds from west to east.
We’re looking towards at least a week - maybe a week and a half - of strong, steady E’ly swells, so we really need to change the way we think about planning our surf schedule. More in the Forecaster Notes.
Normally, large swell events identified a long time away usually downgrade over time. Fortunately, this event for next week has maintained its strength, in fact we’ve seen small upgrades from forecast to forecast, which is very encouraging. More in the Forecaster Notes.
Plenty of swell from early next week with a strong NE groundswell followed up by persistent trade-swell.
A tricky but fun S/SW groundswell for the weekend, followed by more reliable W/SW swells next week.
Lots of swell over the coming period but winds will remain an issue for the South West, cleaner to the north.
Secondary inconsistent but strong W/SW groundswell for tomorrow but with varying winds, easing into Sunday and Monday. Large long-period W/SW groundswell for early/mid next week.
A windy and mixed weekend of surf with a very inconsistent W/SW groundswell tomorrow and new mid-period swell Sunday. Larger and stronger swells due next week.
There’s a lot to get excited about with this tropical low - it’ll be broad, very strong, slow moving, and aimed in a really nice part of our swell window for quite a while. But, there's a downside too. More in the Forecaster Notes.
Nothing to finish off the week, but the weekend will see a pulsey up and down N/NE windswell ahead of a better NE groundswell event next week.
