The broad pattern will be setting up by Boxing Day with a dominant, slow moving high in the Tasman and low pressure expected to form along the monsoon trough line in the Coral Sea and in the South Pacific near the North Island. That will see at least dual swell producing fetches aimed at the Eastern Seaboard.

We've got a fun weekend of surf with options across both regions ahead of a large, powerful W/SW groundswell early next week.

Not much on offer over the Xmas weekend. Approaching fronts drive NW winds through Sat, tending more W’ly on Xmas day but no major swell sources are on offer so we’ll be looking at just tiny back ground swell from the E in the 1ft range. 

Plenty of swell with favourable winds for the coming period, kicking off from Friday.
