Eastern Tasmania Forecast by Craig Brokensha (issued Wednesday 25th February)
Best Days: Friday morning for small waves, possibly Saturday morning for a small distant E'ly groundswell (very low confidence), Tuesday morning
Recap
Good but inconsistent levels of NE swell yesterday with favourable winds for southern corners yesterday, with smaller clean waves in the 2ft range this morning.
Tiny clean waves tomorrow morning. A slight kick in size possible Friday morning with early light winds. Better activity next week as a strong node of the LWT moves through.
Average swells for the most part, best at exposed spots next week with favourable winds.
Easing swell over the coming days with no wind tomorrow morning and offshores Friday morning. Poor weekend, more swell next week but with winds from the southern quadrant.
Easing swell with early W/NW winds tomorrow, smaller Friday with a possible period of variable breezes early. Fun at exposed breaks Saturday morning.
Fun W/NW groundswell building tomorrow, peaking early Wednesday, fading into the end of the week with favourable winds.
With TC Marcia now weakening off the SE Qld coast, it feels like we can finally kick off the forecast week with a recalibration of the forecast models.
Inconsistent NE swell Tuesday with good winds for southern corners, smaller Wednesday and tiny into the end of the week.
Fun W/SW swell with morning offshores tomorrow, easing Wednesday with offshore winds persisting longer through the morning.
