There’s been a slight improvement to the weekend outlook, but only just. The west-east movement of weather patterns across our region seems to have slowed slightly in the last few model runs, which will benefit us in a couple of ways.
Easing clean E/NE swell tomorrow, becoming tiny Friday. New swell Tuesday and Wednesday but with southerly winds.
Freshening NE winds are generating a peaky NE swell today and this trend is expected to continue through into Thursday morning.
Tiny W/SW swells tomorrow afternoon and Friday, better W/SW swell Sunday. Best swell Tuesday but with onshores.
Onshore tomorrow, large stormy swell Friday with easing onshores, offshore and clean Saturday morning north of Margs. Fun swell for Monday morning with straight offshores.
New swells with offshores tomorrow, easing Friday with fresh and gusty northerlies for the South Coast.
Building W/SW swells tomorrow with good winds for the Surf Coast through the morning, easing Friday with good winds for the Mornington Peninsula.
The surf outlook for the rest of the week is fairly simple - from Tuesday onwards wave heights will trend downwards, and conditions will generally deteriorate as the northerly regime redevelops across the coast.
