Easing clean swell tomorrow, with a large building swell Sunday but with poor onshore winds. Swell peaking Monday with S'ly winds, cleaner Tuesday.
Building W/SW swell tomorrow with cleaner conditions Sunday as it eases. Smaller Monday and then a large stormy swell Tuesday, cleaning up down South Wednesday.
Small clean waves across both coasts at times over the weekend. Larger swell pulses from Tuesday, with winds favouring the Surf Coast.
So, as this trough/low slides southwards, conditions will rapidly improve. First on the Sunshine Coast (early Saturday), then the Gold Coast, and so on as we traverse along the Northern NSW Coast.
The whole synoptic pattern surrounding this developing trough and possible East Coast Low has been stalled by a day or so. This means we’re looking at building swells and mainly dodgy winds on Saturday, with a peak in size on Sunday and a better chance for improving conditions.
South swell magnets the go tomorrow for a S'ly groundswell. Inconsistent but persistent NE swell for next week, biggest Monday and Tuesday.
