The building blocks are now in place for an active week of surf from the SE. A complex, multi-centred low is stationed over New Zealand with a strong (1029hPa) high located equidistant between Tasmania and the South Island offering excellent cradling support for the low.
There'll be some fun westerly swell into the end of the week but winds will spoil the Mid Coast. Try the South Coast over the coming days.
A continuation of slow surf and swells with fun waves on the exposed beaches this week.
Into next week and the outlook is much juicier than Wed’s notes suggested as the low reforms near New Zealand with multiple swell generating fetches in the Eastern Tas swell window.
