Another unstable, troughy week ahead with humid, unstable air over the continent creating a series of troughs, one of which forms a slow moving trough of low pressure off the Mid North Coast which interacts with a weak high pressure cell drifting in the Tasman. That will supply some workable E quadrant swell favouring temperate NSW.

Broadly speaking the size trend will be steadily up Saturday, and then slowly down on Sunday, with peak of the cycle expected on dark Saturday.

Next week is looking subdued but with periods of mostly favourable winds. The gist of it is a band of blocking high pressure and a suppressed zonal storm track.

Weak high pressure and slack winds in the Coral Sea are leading to a prolonged spell of tiny/flat surf which will extend over the weekend and into next week.
