Best Days: Every day over the coming period

This week and weekend (Nov 12 - 16)

Some good pulses of S/SW swell have been seen since the last update, a solid one through Friday and then another later Sunday and Monday. We're on the backside of Monday's pulse now but light winds have opened up exposed breaks for business providing plenty of options for a surf.

The swell should bottom out tomorrow morning across Bali before a new S/SW groundswell fills in through the day. This will be a really inconsistent number, produced in our far swell window to the south-west of WA and isn't expected to top 4-6ft at exposed breaks in Bali into the afternoon.

A drop in size is then due Thursday from 3-5ft, but a secondary more consistent S/SW groundswell for Friday and Saturday has been upgraded in size.

This is due to the funky and not ideally shaped low generating the swell, coming in stronger than forecast last Thursday, with a fetch of gale to severe-gale SW winds being aimed towards us before the system dipped away to the south-east last night, resulting in a fetch of S/SW gales being projected more in our southern swell window.

The swell should build through Friday and reach 6ft+ at exposed breaks around Bali into the afternoon and hold a similar size through Saturday before easing through Sunday from the 6ft range.

Winds for the most part are expected to be light and variable each morning with weak E/SE-SE trades into the afternoon, freshest tomorrow and Sunday afternoon.

Next week onwards (Nov 17 onwards)

Next week will be slow for the most part with easing levels of S/SW swell from the weekend into Monday and background SW groundswell for Tuesday and Wednesday coming in at 3ft to occasionally 4ft at only the most exposed breaks.

Winds will remain light though, favouring these spots.

A new long-range and inconsistent S/SW groundswell is on the cards for Friday week, but we'll review this again on Thursday.
