A touch too much west in the wind for 13th so take a size hit in OG or head west.

2025-05-16 08:57:00: clean 3ft SW, Light NW, partly cloudy 5/10

Nice waves on offer with clean 3ft+ sets across the open beaches, building during the day with winds generally out of the NW. As the surf increases you'll have to look for sheltered spots, the Torquay coast will be your best choice.

Dawn report: Fun beachies though a little inconsistent at times. Size is around the 3ft mark and it's clean with light winds. We are expecting bigger surf to show after lunch so keep that in mind as it may start to overpower some of the exposed beaches (in which case OG or the GOR will be your best bet). The next surf report update will be around 9am.

Sidenote: Tim Bonython is bringing "Maya and the Wave" to the Big Screen this coming Tuesday - a docco featuring the trials & tribulations of Maya Gabeira as she achieved the World Record for the biggest wave ridden by a woman. Features a Q&A session with director Stephanie Johnes and Tim at most shows. More info/tickets here: https://event.asmf.net.au/
