First View Of Abu Dhabi Wavepool
You may recall that back in June there was an unplanned reveal of the latest KSWC wavepool.
Located on Hudariyat Island, a sports and entertainment precinct immediately south of the city, the pool is approx. 500m long and 200m wide, which makes it kinda hard to hide in the age of Google Earth.
Recently, more footage hit the 'net, this time a flyover of the tub showing it decked out with far more infrastructure than the Lemoore version of the same. At the end is a large grandstand, plus another at the halfway point of the pool, while immediately opposite that is an Imax-size screen. Greenery springs from the beige Emirati sands.

Though only twenty seconds long, you'll soon see a whole lot more of the new tub when the Woz runs an exhibition event there later this month. The format is not yet known though likely to be in the mold of the Future Classic, the 2017 event that heralded the arrival of wavepool comps and their viability as a legitimate ocean alternative...
