This 'pool is supposed to be a demo unit yes? the "real thing" is supposed to produce bigger waves yes? If that's true...who wouldn't want to give it a try...one , two maybe 3 sessions. But then what...one session a year or when it's been flat or windy for a few weeks?

TBB, looks fun to bodysurf. If you had spent anytime north of Coolum you would love to know there is at least something to surf everyday. Even here on the Goldie it can be a long wait for decent waves. These pools especially in stinger and croc areas where it is hot and not safe to swim at beach would be a godsend. Invite me up to yeppoon to bodysurf it, I can get yards some great footage.

I don't get the negativity, those waves look super fun, it would be sick to surf it for the novelty factor, lived on the sunny coast for years and i can count the days on one hand that i saw waves as good as these.

I get that surfing is more than the wave, it's the whole deal, the unknown, the ocean, searching, just being in nature etc

And obviously wave pools will never replace that, just look at slaters pool comp, super boring, but still these wave pools would be super sick to surf for a day or two and its cool that each one is so different to the other.

A new vid went out yesterday of Ben Player testing the right on 'Occy's Peak' last week.

This barrel looks pretty damn nice, even if it is slowed down a little for effect. Def longer than any of the previous ones they've shown.
