Watch: D'Bah // Highlights from a low season

Mustn't grumble...

The weather has been warm, the water tepid, and the skies have been clear for weeks and weeks.

But the waves...?

It's been one of the leanest East Coast seasons in recent memory - as confirmed by Craig's article yesterday. Fortunately for Gold Coast surfers, D'bah recently perked up and offered two mornings of head-high peaks with Craig Halstead there to capture it.

Can often spot the qlder where I live on the NC by the wetty. Water is still crazy warm and travellers are rocking full steamers.

I surfed down at Angourie a weekend or so ago, was max boardies and vest type water temp/weather and everyone down there had full steamers on. So I don't think North Coasters can claim any resistance to the cold status.

Similar experience in Auckland. West Coast black sand beach, December. Warm waters, cool breeze. I quite comfortably surfed 2 sessions in boardies and rashie, locals in 3/2 steamers. Shocked when I said was visiting from qld....
