It's been a few months now since the wozzle swung through France, shining the spotlight on the golden sands of Landes before heading south to Portugal. For the last four weeks the attention of the surfing world has been spread between Hawaii and Nazare.
Yet while the spotlight moved on and winter set in, Tristan Guilbad braced for the weather and the moments in between.
"Changing tides and moving sandbanks makes it extremely fickle and multiple surf checks are a daily routine," says Tristan. "So when you are lucky enough to be home and all the conditions combine, it just feels like pure perfection."

cannot for the life of me work out why you would defend that bloke. and i disagree it does look like a deliberate act.
That was the sickest clip I've seen in a while! Music well paced, surfer ripping, and reminding me of my local on a good day... I love French beachies!! That wasn't an intentional board kick out, he was merely trying to get out of ol' mates way. No need for violence in the surf just better understanding...
