Parler games.

"During one of the calls, Parler's CEO reported that Parler had a backlog of 26,000 reports of content that violated its community standards and remained on its service."

We have all seen reports about Parler being shutdown. They violated their contract with Amazon Web Services (AWS). They filed a suit against AWS. The link below is to the response from AWS. The quote above is from page 6. For examples of posts made on Parler, look at page 4 & 5 of the response.

Seems Greenwald doesn't really have much of a clue how the internet works. Facebook, Amazon and Google can't 'remove' anything from the internet. They can remove it from their servers, but they don't control the internet.

I guess admitting as much wouldn't serve his grievance narrative though.

Blowin's picture
Blowin's picture
Blowin Tuesday, 19 Jan 2021 at 8:10pm

Amazon did try to remove Parler from the internet. That was the entire point. Amazon claimed that Parler was a threat to society and they attempted to remove it from the internet by reducing Parler’s access to servers in the hope that Parler would find no suitable replacement.

The statement that” Amazon tried to remove Parler from the internet “ is not factually incorrect just because Amazon failed in their intended task.

Capitol Rioters just following Trumps instructions!

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/video/2021/jan/18/capitol-attack-rio...

'A Texas real estate agent who was part of the pro-Trump mob that attacked the US Capitol has said she was just following the orders of Donald Trump, even as she faced federal charges for her part in the insurrection.'

More rioters just following Trumps instructions!

https://www.13newsnow.com/article/news/nation-world/al-watkins-represent...

“Mr. Chansley is an American; he served honorably in the U.S. military,” Watkins said in a press release. “He has zero criminal history. He is a lover of nature, routinely practices meditation, is an active practicer of yoga and eats only organic food. He took seriously the countless messages of President Trump. He believed in President Trump. Like tens of millions of other Americans, Chansley felt — for the first time in his life — as though his voice was being heard.”

He took seriously the countless messages of President Trump. This resulted in him and many others rioting in the capitol building, with the intention of disrupting the processes of democracy for their own political benefit - at the instruction of the president no less.

Another fairly balanced article on the fallout from the end of the Trump Presidency. I agree that there’s a reckoning to come within both political parties in the US - could this be the start of a third, centrist, force in US politics as both the left and the right face their own factional challenges.

One thing that can’t be denied :

The 2016 vote for Trump was primarily a protest vote by the US proletariat for having been abandoned by the globalist DNC /Republican duopoly.

Whether actions follow words of intent remains to be seen but Biden’s vociferous return to the defence of the working class is a huge turnaround from the neoliberal enthusiasm of the Hillary Clinton era .

The vote for Trump was a success.

Part of the culture, has been for decades and has worked wonders in silencing any dissent on foreign military adventures.

"MILITARISM IN THE USA -
Besides TV shows, movies, and commercials, there are many signs of the increasing embrace of militarized values and attitudes in this country.
The result: the acceptance of a military in places where it shouldn’t be, one that’s over-celebrated, over-hyped, and given far too much money and cultural authority, while becoming virtually immune to serious criticism."

Speaking of Moscow Mitch...

Majority Leader McConnell just went on record, in opening Senate proceedings no less, to make the case the President engaged in sedition leading to an insurrection. Quote in CAPS for emphasis on the two key phrases:

"The last time the Senate convened, we had just reclaimed the Capitol from violent criminals who tried to stop Congress from doing our duty.

THE MOB WAS FED LIES. THEY WERE PROVOKED BY THE PRESIDENT AND OTHER POWERFUL PEOPLE...to use FEAR AND VIOLENCE TO STOP A SPECIFIC PROCEEDING OF THE FIRST BRANCH OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT which they did not like.”

Very careful and specific language used by ol' Mitch.

'Provoked by the President' = seditious conspiracy via incitement.

'Use fear and violence to stop a specific proceeding of the federal government' = necessary criteria to satisfy both sedition and insurrection.

https://thenewdaily.com.au/news/world/us-news/2021/01/20/mitch-mcconnell...

If McConnell does vote to convict (and with him will undoubtedly follow numerous Republican senators), and granted, the conviction would happen after Trump is out of office, the fact is that Trump would then never be eligible to run for office, and the Senate could also strip him of his pension, Secret Service protection, and other benefits.

Winning?!

Speaking of BLM

"At least 28 people were arrested as groups of protesters gathered in New York City to march on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Hundreds of protesters in different groups throughout the city began rallying as early as noon on Monday as a part of a Black Liberation March to commemorate the life and legacy of the Civil Rights leader. The groups calling for racial and social justice peacefully marched from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn to City Hall where they were met with a large group of NYPD officers.

The rally came to an end just as many Black Lives Matter protests ended last year. Police told protesters to disperse and violence broke out as officers began arresting demonstrators. A total of 28 people were arrested late Monday, police said.

Eleven officers were injured, according to the NYPD, but none in serious condition. One uniformed captain was hit in the head with a glass bottle. It's unclear how many protesters were injured."

For the readers and Trumpzi beliebers out there.

https://www.csis.org/analysis/escalating-terrorism-problem-united-states

"The data show three notable trends. First, right-wing attacks and plots accounted for the majority of all terrorist incidents in the United States since 1994. In particular, they made up a large percentage of incidents in the 1990s and 2010s. Second, the total number of right-wing attacks and plots has grown substantially during the past six years. In 2019, for example, right-wing extremists perpetrated nearly two-thirds of the terrorist attacks and plots in the United States, and they committed over 90 percent of the attacks and plots between January 1 and May 8, 2020. Third, although religious extremists were responsible for the most fatalities because of the 9/11 attacks, right-wing perpetrators were responsible for more than half of all annual fatalities in 14 of the 21 years during which fatal attacks occurred."

With the US Capitol attacks, domestic terrorism in America has exploded into the mainstream

"What happened at the US Capitol earlier this month might be new for many people, a shock. But for people like me, it's not something new at all.

This war was going on for years before rioters stormed the building, so for anyone who has been paying attention, it won't have come as a surprise.

I've had to deal with the kind of hate that was on display my whole life. I was nine when a mechanic at McQuick's Lube on Maple Avenue found a remote-controlled pipe bomb strapped to the bottom of a deputy sheriff's car."

This is why people don't believe media these days.

Where do you draw the line at what is and isn't terrorism?

Terrorism = "the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims."

Surely what we have seen in 2020 is a form of terrorism?

BLM & Antifa have caused over two billion dollars worth of damage to public and private property,

Police stations burnt down other public buildings set alight, countless peoples business and residence looted and burnt, cars burnt all kinds of public facilities, public monuments and statues destroyed.

Over 30 people dead hundreds injured.

Whole blocks taken over by extremist and turned into autonomous zone.

Imagine if it was RW groups doing this?

It's obviously total bullshit, it's clearly only terrorism when the right do it but not the left.

BTW there was only about 800+ incidents in the USA in over 25 years (just going of memory from the same shit someone dished up the other day)

How many seperate incident's has there been since May 2021 surely more than that.
