meh..mind games!!!

For the next week @seeds, we resume our hostilities!! (in a much more civilized manner of course).
Go Cattters!!!!

Hehe, never any hostility here. Speaking of one’s mind maybe. I don’t engage with the ones I disagree with vehemently.

haha. Nah enjoy the week. Looking forward toa cracking game.
May drop back in to stir ya up a little bit in the lead up :-P

I’ll be heart in mouth but I hope it’s a close game unlike our dacking of the Swans last year.

I wonder which teams they maybe, I can’t quite remember, still very giddy in the head from all those stamps I licked for Seeds parcel.
Help me out folks, from what little residual memory I have, I don’t think either of them made it to the finals.
Just had dinner, off to the bathroom to brush my tooth. AW
Supafreak. Hi mate. Hope you’re well
Funny stuff, I’ve never looked at the Batman symbol in that way.
We all know why Batman & Robin wear coloured stockings, makes for easy entry into the ‘ Back Cave’. AW

Hey @AW, my sister and her husband were at the G on Saturday night but left at 1/2 time, the ticket lottery had them smack bang in the middle of the seething mass VB Park’s ugliest. As Lions supporters she feared for their safety as a group of men started making disparaging comments about her appearance etc in a presumed move to get her husband to react, he’s a big bloke who could have easily taken care of the situation but now is 60 and a life on the tools has ruined his health. Nah mate, you’re the reasonable outlier here, Collingwood supporters are for the most part from the dry end of the human gene pool.

GuySmiley. Hi mate. Hope you’re well.
You’ve always got interesting football feedback for me, totally agree, I told most of my cousins to stay at home and watch the game, but, they are all a very simple breed as you so eloquently expressed, I think at the gene transcription level they inherited many a bad trait from previous generations something went awry, as the DNA helix unwinds at the recombination phase it’s too late, it then starts to stitch itself back together and you end up with, well, Collingwood supporters who are missing a few VB stubbies from their slab. We are a weird mob, but most have still got their, some or no tooth. AW

While it all very amusing to have a gentle dig, I don’t think your fellow supporters have a hegemony on being unpleasant AW. It’s wrong that Guy’s family felt unsafe, and people in a pack can suddenly feel very “brave” and be obnoxious. It has happened to us, a different team’s support, just piss poor stuff from people old enough to know better. I hope it doesn’t get like European football with segregated crowds.
Now, while I am pleased that Brisbane won, your boys had a great season, and played some stellar football. Gets some young(er) legs into the squad and there is no reason why they can not be back there next year or the near future.. Looking forward to a Tiges V Pies grand final in a couple of years.

agree @blackers, as Kevin Sheedy once said, “all teams have their fair share of nuff nuffs Collingwood just have way more”

Blackers. Hi mate. Agree wholeheartedly, it’s always a few loose folks, can be from any team at any time of the year.
I personally don’t think it’s our age demographic, for me at least over the last decade, we cannot get a forward structure that’s stable and kick accurately, it goes way back to the end of the Peter McKenna era who was a sublime exponent of how to kick goals.
Our forwards, excluding Elliot, don’t make quick or early leads, they spend too much time and effort muscling in packs to attain a mark or a possession.
Look at Jack Gunston, he starts leading well before the flow of play starts heading his way, he’s brilliant at it, we are stodgy.
We have some big guys as well as big tall guys coming through our system next and probably the following year.
It’s just a game. But we love it.
Now, Supa, Where can I get a hot Pie ? Meat that is. AW

The great Paddy Dangerfield just broke the record for polling the most 3 vote games in Brownlow history, overtaking, you guessed it, Gary Abblett Snr ;-)

Nice to see an underdog get up. Onya Rowely!

Bloody oath @blackers. He's like a mini Dangerfield! ;-P
Nice one Rowley. A most deserving Brownlow medalist....and today is the best day of the year,..no more having to hear another word about Nick Daicos til next year!!
Season starting this week so we need a thread to document Collingwood's run to its it's 17th premiership and the year Nick Daico's wins his first of four brownlow medal's.
