Sorry for the delayed response to all the well wishing folks and their encouraging messages , I’ve only just got home from the coast and been preoccupied licking all the stamps for the parcel I’m sending your way, in fact , I had to stop for awhile through the fear of getting poisoned and end up a fatality like George’s, girlfriend in a well remembered Seinfeld episode.
Lions too good , had our chances early in the last quarter but blew them.
I can’t bring myself to barrack for Geelong next week, so I’m going to jump on Brisbanes band wagon. Go the Mighty Lions. Always next year as they say.
Anyway, when is the First Ashes Test commencing, now the football is over. AW

I heard him speak in the post game, said he'd *done enough " to demonstrate his fitness but that it was up to "Poppa Fages" whether he gets picked. May be a bit risky but you'd trust him I reckon.

hehe if given the choice between playing in a grandfinal or not playing, i'd be saying that too @blackers. Neales legs are his key strength and they've just been injured and are now expected to play in a grandfinal....with an extraordinary recovery time. It'll be a head or heart decision, but if it was based on head i'd say he shouldn't play. Too risky. But i hope he does. He's a joy to watch.

You know, I was going to say it was time to leave the Pies supporters alone but then AW went and proved that I would be waiting my time. Instead I bought a Collypies doormat. I think Dangerfield does things on the football ground that have never been done before. And game breaking game winning things, constantly, hence why i rate him #1.
No one can or ever has straightlined a contest, that they're not involved in, should get hurt but somehow doesnt and somehow stay on their feet, have the ball knocked to their advantage, gather it while 2, 3 or 5 players fall away in his path, and dispose of it with maximum efficiency and result in more often than not either a score to the team, or a score to himself like Danger can. I know Carey had similar traits but not in the actual elbow grease moments of contested pack in and under football. In fact, there's a whole heap of players that did specific things equally or better, but no one had the all round game in my opion...except Gazza G snr. It's almost like you watch him and think, why doesn't everyone just do that?? Takes the greatest that's why.
To be 35 and redefining how to play the game is another reason.
and just on the Dusty 'argument'...most credible commentators are calling Danger's game on Friday night, the single best finals performance by an individual in history. Make of that what you will. He was unlucky not to walk away with the Normie in 2022. Should have got it in my opinion.
