Just completed the Bombers club membership survey for 2025.
What an absolute corporate wank of a survey.
No wonder this club is going down the gurgler.
Zero room for engagement or reflection on the actual football and football team.
Just a whole lot of sponsorship questions, community program questions and product questions.

Thats a worry SR , The club really needs to have a serious look at why so many players continue to want to leave , The AFL seems to be getting like the EPL - a few clubs at the top continue to attract all the best out of contract ( and in contract ! ) players and stay powerful , while the rest spiral down . I have zero hope for the bombers for at least the next 3-5 years given whats going on, and it could be much, much longer .

It could be that Buckley has made a poor choice. Not that I would wish the Demons position onto anyone.

As for the Bombers, move the wanna leaves on, build a team based on those who want to be there. You have some young talent, it will be okay.

Lets go you bloody Catters!!!!!

I wonder who’s playing the Lions in the GF?
Let’s go!

@sr's boy, patrick looking commanding

Fake boobs’ boy looking silly as ever with his bandana

haha he's the man @basesix. Made for finals contests. Cat's a bit silly that first q.
Carn Catters!!
And @seeds, i would love to see Lions get up tomorrow but i'm concerned. There is nothing more Melbourne and Collingwood than a Saturday afternoon at the MCG. It's a major concern, i dunno if the Lions realise what they're walking into. They're gonna have to be so on early.

bugger.. how good would 42 all have been at half time?

Go Hawks
I reckon we’d kill em if we can win tomorrow
It’s game on now, first half is irrelevant

Cats a great 2nd q team. Seems they played better after Stewart went off. He's had a bit of an off season so maybe helped restructure them.
No @base, 46 all would NOT have been ok!! :-P

Can't pick it at this point. Anything could happen. Been some incredible goals

always in amongst the racket in the back of my head

yep - cats have this in the bag now.. was an interesting start though..

I reckon Courtney Barnett might like them Clean boys

you home or at the pub, @seeds? looks like there's cheap snacks and a good vibe at your local..
(..though if hawthorn jag it, it's all cos of jarman impey's kick)

At work
Off tomorrow for the Lions v Pies
Might end up somewhere to watch the game

ah, that's worked out well. total bog-in weekend here. shiiiity weather..

99000
Long way to go
Danger having the game of his life. What a champion!!

Go caters.!

The Clean at their finest.

Jezza! What a goal!

all over..
(haha, the art of the thrift-shop film shoot.. unreal, hey? ..under 2 mins, like any good single)

There's a reason why i reckon Danger is the best player that's ever played....along with Gazza Ablett senior of course. And he's showing it again tonight. Absolute warrior.
Not over yet but Catters playing some pretty incredible football in that quarter.
Bloody love these big games.
Hope everybody had a good day!! :-D

Cheers SR, same to you. Cats have it, Hawks are rattled.

Sir Paddy, Give him his knighthood now.
Cheers @blackers!!

An outstanding game. As was Atkins’. So good to see the hokball hacks get stuffed. Talent and effort beats ego and feels hands down. Calhoun take note.

Agreed @blackers, and so good to see the instant karma come to the captain of another club coach poach. Go fk yourself Mitchell ya fucken dog cnt!! hahahaha!!
Sorry, but that felt reeeeeally good!!
Karmas a bitch eh??

Hey @seeds. I just realised tomorrows game is twilight, not arvo. That works hugely in your favour. There's something deeply Victorian about a Saturday afternoon at the MCG that goes back so many generations. But twilight is a whole different scenario. I think the balance just shifted back in your favour! ;-) Go Lions!! Would love a Catters V Loins GF!!

Well that has certainly wiped the smug looks off the Hawks, Mitchell’s face after the game was telling, suffer baby … love to see a cats and lions granny with a cats victory, surely the best team/club in the last two decades!

Greatest win the Bombers had all year tonight @GS! :-P
Karmas a bitch hey.

Cats definitely best team over the last 2 decades. Their ability to make prelims at a bare minimum is extraordinary and to win 4 flags, maybe now 5 in that time and to make another two grannies is incredible. Definitely the most sustained dominance i've seen in my time in parallel with the Hawks of the 80's and 90's.
Got a special connection to Geelong. My dad took me fishing at Barwon heads as a grom in the early 80's and i just connected to the region instantly. Add to that having spent many months in Geelong city itself because it's where family were based, and then you've got the Bells factor. Had alot of memorable life experiences go down in G town. I'm a Bombers fan through and through, but Cats are only a whisker away from being my favourite team, but i'm loyal to the mighty Bombers. But can't understate how much i love the Cats. Bloody handy having two teams especially when it comes to September!!

Erm, in case it wasn't obvious :-P

I actually put 6 bucks on the cats to win by 36. Nearly got there.
The crowd size was incredible tonight. 99, 500, just 400 odd seats shy of filling the G to capacity.
You could just tell it was heaving.
There's been many a grandfinal that haven't exceeded a crowd that size
What an incredible sport in an incredible arena.
Would love to have been there. One of the better games i've enjoyed purely as a fan of the team i'm barracking for. Me and dad were messaging flat out all night just losing our shit...was a pretty cool experience to share with him. Footy unites! To hear the GEEE......LONG chant pulsating around the ground in the last 10 minutes was spine tingling when you feel even a little tiny connection to the town and club like i do. Really makes the hairs on your neck stand up.
So proud of this club and the ethics and morals they maintain to get to where they're at.
Was epic to hear Bailey Smiths interview and how he made a point about how Dangerfield was there for him in his darkest hours and continually checked in on him and got him back on track. You could just hear how much love and respect he had for Sir Paddy. What makes a champion isn't just the way he chases a ball around a field like a bull to a red rag. Huge respect, to both Bails and Paddy.

gush gush gush :-P

All good comments ^^ @SR, I’m also a bombers/geelong fan, dad’s family lived 2/3 streets back from Windy Hill while mum’s family and my father in law’s family all from Geelong. Did you pick up Danger giving Abbey Holmes a friendly g’day mate pat on the arse at the start their interview post game?
Season starting this week so we need a thread to document Collingwood's run to its it's 17th premiership and the year Nick Daico's wins his first of four brownlow medal's.
